I am really impressed by this product, I bought it without seeing other reviews , after I bought it i looked it up here, at makeup alley, I was kind of skeptic after reading them (the reviews) , but it worked wonders! I have dry scaly patches (big ones that cling to the scalp), no oiliness whatsoever, everything is bone dry on my scalp. I guess that’s why some review it as being not so useful, it says on the package that it is intended for dry flakes, not oily ones. I use it in conjunction with Node K Emulsion, and I think these 2 must be bought together for the full effect. I’ve been using them for a week ( this means 3 washes) , I had horrible horrible dandruff (I don’t think I can even call it that, since it was way worse, with huge white patches) on 30% of my scalp, after the first 2 washes nothing much happened, the only positive aspect was that they were peeling more easily off, but after the 3rd wash…. a miracle, almost all of it was gone, 30% became 5%. I will update this post after I finish a 2 month treatment with these products. Until now I am very pleased, they are reasonably priced , not too cheap not too expensive, packaging is also nice, no perfume which is a big + since it does not irritate the scalp. We’ll see how it goes.

My derm recommended this as I have really bad seborrheoic dermatitis of the scalp. I’ve tried Head and Shoulders, Selsun Blue, etc and none of them worked except to make my scalp more itchy, my oily dandruff more flaky and my hair as dry as weeds. The product’s instructions says you should use it 3 times a week for the first three weeks and then wean it down to once a week. I’ve used this once and so far I’ve only had the mildest itching and the giant flakes have already dwindled down. The product promises that your hair will be be shiny, clean and full of volume. I’m pleased to say that it has done exactly that to my 2c/3a curls. In fact I was surprised to see that my curls popped with this product. The main downside is that its packed with silicones and SLS. Luckily one of the silicones is water soluble (PEG-12). not sure what other nasties are in there. I was CG before so now I’m forced to use this as its the only product that works for scalp condition. Some tips: I only apply this shampoo to my scalp and still use my silicone/alcohol free gels and leave-in conditioners. I will continue to use this until I find a silicone/sulfate free alternative that’s effective.

I realy love Bioderma, but this pricy shampoo is such a disappointment.
My seborrheic dermatitis returned the last weeks and I was on the hunt for a gentle anti-dandruff shampoo without perfume and cocamidopropyl betaine. This anti-dandruff shampoo gets a 1 at the skindeep database, what is very very good. But it didn’t work at all, it made the condition of my scalp even worse. Besides that it feels as if I am putting moisturizer on my hair when washing it. I haven’t used a shampoo with silicones for ages and now I know again why, it makes my fine long hair flat and my scalp itchy. The shampoo is expensive and the tube very small, so another con. The active ingrediënt is salicylic acid.
