When a product description claims it’s ‘used by celebrities, film and television hairdressers and recommended by doctors, trichologists worldwide’ one would assume there must be something great about it. Well I first tried this about 6 or 7 years ago to help with psoriasis, back when it contained SLS. My scalp psoriasis got worse with this and I put it down to the SLS and quit using it. I recently noticed it had been reformulated and now without SLS so thought ‘let’s give this another try’. Bad idea! My scalp was again seriously irritated, in fact I even broke out in small red bumps on my scalp – something I’ve never experienced before. Stopped using the shampoo and they disappeared within a few days. For a product with so much hype around it (admittedly self-penned by the company) I’m very much underwhelmed by my experience. My guess as to the culprit? Possibly ‘Piroctone olamine’ as I’ve pretty much used all the other ingredients in here, in one scalp product or another, and without issue.

I love constantly trying out new stuff – usually sample sizes via e-bay, also plenty courtesy of a friend who works at Sephora)
