I used this product on my hair for a hot minute and although they have a Marula Oil light formula (which I have fine hair) I still preferred the original formulation. When I started booth renting, carrying Paul Mitchell products was absolutely not a question. I did have a choice to make when it came to which luxury Paul Mitchell hair care line I would choose. The only reason Marula was not chosen is because I felt I could offer more services with a different line. This is my only complaint about the Marula Oil line is that it only offers one type of treatment. The shampoo however was a favorite of mine for regular shampooing because not only did is smell like what you would imagine an angel smelled like, it left my hair the softest it had ever been but still full of body and life. My hair had never felt more moisturized and healthy and never had such a shine. My fine hair is prone to tangles and before conditioner ever touched my hair the Paul Mitchell Marula Oil Shampoo made the tangles come undone like my hair had been touched by silk and turned to silk. I have never loved a Shampoo on my own hair like this one. I recommend this shampoo for regular shampooing, all hair types, and for anyone who lack moisture, shine and weightless body. When paired with the Marula Oil Conditioner, Marula Oil Treatment Masque, and leave-in Marula Oil drops my hair has never loved me so much which means a lot because I am chemically dependant lol and love my hair to be a shade of white which often times requires a little over processing (:S ). My hair felt healthy, soft and manageable while having a brilliant weightless shine! As with all JPMS Products, Marula Oil is never tested on animals! I do believe the Marula Oil which is imported from other countries could be considered fair-trade or at least the people who collect this precious oil are fully and well compensated for their product, time, and labor.

Move over all the other bottles in the shower, theres a new kid on the block! This stuff is amazing. I have long wavy fine thick mature hair. I need all the moisture I can get! This stuff is great! Mositurizes on a long term level. Smells amazing, makes hair bouncy and yet shiny and youthful looking. I don’t color my hair ( I should, but I don’t) but this stuff is sulfate/pharabhen free and is great for color treated hair. It’s worth every penny! Run and buy yourself this AND the conditioner! While your at it, grab the mask as well.

I received the Marula Oil set from Paul Mitchell as a birthday gift, and I’m loving all of it! This review is for the shampoo, so I’ll stick to discussing just the shampoo, but I’m enjoying using all of the products together.
The set comes with the shampoo and conditioner in pump bottles, which I appreciate, makes my showers quicker. My very thick, long hair, typically takes about two pumps, which isn’t that much (about the same as other shampoos). Massaging it into my scalp creates a smooth, creamy lather that rinses out easily. I appreciate this for making my showers quicker (time savings and water savings).
After one week of use my dry-ish, fuzzy hair was left noticeably less fuzzy and shinier. I have wavy, very thick hair, and it did not weigh my hair down at all. I still required the use of a product to do away with all frizz, but I believe the s&c, plus oil have helped reduced the amount of frizz. My shortest layers sometimes look frazzled, even soon after a haircut, but this has kept them looking smoother and more healthy.
