My review is for the Love Shampoo in the purple bottle.
I got this on the recommendation of my stylist. I go to a Davines salon and usually love everything they use so I was fine shelling out almost $30 for this shampoo. The packaging is so cute and I love the color as well. The scent is unique but I like it a lot. It’s floral in a fresh, green kind of way. Unfortunately that’s really all the good I have to say about this product. It kind of dried my hair out, especially when I used a little too much, and left my hair tangly, even up near my roots. Not impressed at all. I used half of a 250ml bottle and I may or may not finish it up because it was expensive, but I won’t buy it again.

I have fine hair and I love it! It has a mild floral scent that doesn’t linger, a big plus in my book.
My hair is usually very frizzy and unruly, this shampoo cuts down the frizz drastically. It gives incredible shine and makes my hair feel soft and silky. I have dry hair and dry scalp and wash it only every 3 days.
Since I bought the first bottle I’ve already repurchased this a couple of times, my search for the perfect daily shampoo is over.

I got a sample thru birchbox I didn’t like how it made my hair feel after it was rinsed out but I used my own conditioner with this and my hair was so lightweight fresh and healthy looking after using this Idk if I would buy because its mot really for my hair texture but id recommend to Caucasian women I think it would be better on their hair its a good product.

I received a sample of this in a Birchbox box. I have very fine, thinning, straight and limp hair, and this shampoo is specifically for thick, and frizzy hair. But I used it anyway, I hate to waste products!
It makes my hair feel tangled at the ends, and flat at the roots, and although it cleanses well, it is not the right formulation for me. I think this is way too heavy for my hair type. The fragrance is ok, but nothing special. It kind of smells like a watered down laundry detergent mixed with a cheap perfume. I will not purchase a full size of this.

This is a lovely shampoo and I adore this brand. It smells incredible. Unfortunately it wasn’t perfect for my fine, highlighted, long, damaged hair as it was a bit too heavy for me and weighed my strands down. I only wash my hair a few times a week so and I have to have a really strong shampoo that will remove all product but not strip my hair. This wasn’t exactly right so I returned it. My sister-in-law has really long, thick, naturally curly, dry hair and this is perfect for her.

This review is for the original (pale pink) formula – it appears that they’ve recently reformulated it and the colour has changed to lavender. Haven’t tried the new version yet and am a little apprehensive about the change since the original version works magic on my hair. Yes, it’s expensive but I swear it is worth every penny. Where I live, the weather is super humid and my hair gets crazy frizzy and unkempt looking. I have tried so many shampoos in the hopes of finally finding the magic formula that would tame my hair into shampoo-commercial-worthy lustrousness. Alas, that goal proved to be an elusive one until I stumbled upon the Davines love range and decided to pick up the shampoo and conditioner. They have totally transformed my hair, which now looks the best it ever has – smooth, glossy and unbelievably soft and silky. I would probably pay double for this product. It is very gentle and it doesn’t strip your hair of its natural oils, which is awesome if you work out alot and need to wash your hair everyday.
The only negative for me is the packaging, specifically the lack of a pump/squeeze bottle. Instead you have to basically screw off the cap and pour the shampoo into your hand, which makes it hard to control the amount of product you use (not a good thing for something priced this high.) I bought this in the 1000ml salon size though, so not sure if the smaller sizes have the same issue. You can buy a pump separately but at this price we really shouldn’t have to. Come on, Davines – stop messing with the formula and start improving the packaging!

Normally, I love Davines products and had been using Melu (shampoo and conditioner) for 3 months and purchased the Love smooting set when I ran out as I wanted to try something else in the range.
Well, long story short, this was HORRIBLE!!! My hair was extremely tangled, and when it dried it was limp, lank and the ends were frizzy.
And the smell..OMG!!! To me it smelt like bleach and the unfortunate thing was that it lingered all day.
Suffice to say that I will go back to Melu. This will be thrown out.

Not super crazy about this product. Bought the cond and shamp but due to not seeing results when dry i wont be repurchasing. Price is high too…i would be more willing to pay if my results were better after blow drying and running a flat iron thorugh.

I was hesitant to buy this because of the price, but all of a sudden my hair was being out of control frizzy lately even though I baby it in every way (limited washing, limit harsh detergents and products that build up, hair masks, periodic clarifying, limited heat styling, etc etc). This and the matching Love conditioner have had an instant, amazing effect on my hair. Smells nice, too. Really cut the frizz down!!!

This product is GREAT for my long, slightly curly (think beach waves when it air dries), prone to BAD frizziness when blown out and colored hair. It is a thick shampoo which coats. Having thick, coarse heavy hair… I can feel the difference immediately when rinsing it off. The scent is kinda citrusy (not my fave) but when dried, hair has a lovely scent.
