This shampoo smells great, but the formula is not so great. The scent is a spa-like lemon with a hint of spice. The shampoo lathers well, but it hard to spread through thick hair. It is also quite stripping, which is my main objection. I love the scent, but this makes a tangly mess of my hair, even when I follow with conditioner.

I don’t mind spending a little more on shampoo, and here’s why: Although I condition every day I only actually shampoo my maybe 1x a wk and typically only my scalp at that, usually doing so with a “no poo” type product. I use a regular (IE lathering) shampoo maybe once every 2 wks on all my hair just to kind of clarify and cleanse. Since a bottle of shampoo lasts me 6-8 months, I don’t mind investing. Enter Bliss Lemon and Sage Shampoo.
OK let’s get down to the nitty-gritty… I am a sucker for the scent of Bliss products even though they aren’t all that and this was no different. I do love the smell, thumbs up to that. It does clean well and I feel like it is pretty clarifying. I do think it leaves my hair shiny as well which is great. Will I buy it again? I doubt it, I was certainly not “wow’d” by this shampoo. It can’t hold a candle to shampoos from Borghese or Alterna which are my faves for full and foaming cleansing (non co wash type cleansing).
For the price, don’t bother with this – there are so many out there that are way better.

A regular giveaway at my hotels during work travel. I always try it again and again thinking it must be the water of the city I am in but, at the end of the day, it is this shampoo that makes my fine oil-ish hair look like crap. I don’t understand it since it is a Bliss product, has cute packaging and is a regular giveaway at the luxurious W chain – how can it be this lame and disappointing every time? But it is.

I had this from a W Hotel stay and decided to take it with me on a week long trip. This made my very-easy-to-manage, straight hair feel tangled, greasy, and heavy. I used it for half the week before realizing it wasn’t the awful heat making my hair feel gross, it was this shampoo and its partner conditioner. I threw them away and used the Bath and Body Works set provided by the hotel, my hair instantly improved.

I received the shampoo and conditioner as an extra from a generous swapper. I have very fine and thin hair that’s super straight so I always reach for shampoo and conditioner that creates volume, although that for me is really just a pipe dream. I started to put this in my “bin” to give to someone else for a swap extra until I took a second to read the details on the packaging. I noted that it states it helps prevent static and my hair has had a ton of static this year for some reason (winter months) that has caused me some embarrassment particularly when taking off and putting on my coat. Anyway, I took a shower this morning and thought I’d try it for the static just to see if it made a difference. I didn’t really notice anything when using both products. I enjoyed the fresh lemon scent as well as how much the shampoo lathered up. My hair was just as tangly afterwards as it is with any typical shampoo and conditioner so I didn’t notice a difference there. I just combed my hair with a comb and let it air dry like I always do. Hours later after forgetting about my new shampoo/conditioner combo I started to take the mail out to the mailbox when I passed the wall mirror I pass every day and instantly noticed something was different about my hair. Is that shine? Like super glossy magazine and television ad shine? Seriously, it looked like Barbie doll hair. I’ve never had shine like that even though my hair is straight as a stick and literally my hair now looks like spun gold. I was not expecting shine as a result of using this nor did I read any reviews prior to using it. I will definitely be repurchasing if at the very least to use it prior to going out just so I can have this gorgeous shine! I’m very impressed especially since my results were completely unexpected. I cannot comment on static yet because I haven’t gotten any. Maybe that means it works for that too!

This was fine, it did what a shampoo should. But it was nothing special and I wasn’t crazy about the smell.

did not like this shampoo. it made my scalp really itchy and the conditioner is really heavy so my hair fell and got more limp as the day wore on. other reviewers commented on the greasy feeling they got, and it’s true. not that my hair was greasy in itself it just felt like it was. would not repurchase. tip: for those girls with fine hair, try clay conditioner! most amazing stuff ever

I am pretty cheap when it comes to shampoo. However, if I am at a Bliss Spa, W Hotel, or get some Bliss products in my goodie bag, I am always excited!
The shampoo is good but not great. Of the products that I have tried, it is probably my least favorite. It’s not worth the money.
PS. My hair is NEVER shiny.

This smells great, which is why I think I bought it. So, it is feels like a very decent but quite standard shampoo. It is also quite strong so I don’t use it everyday but twice a week. The real winner is the conditioner, which also smells great and is really think and moisturizing.

I really do love and trust this product, but I do have a problem with the generous amount that is required for shine. I use this product up faster than anything else so I think the price should be cheaper, like $14 instead of $18. This product smells amazing, makes my hair bouncy and super-clean, plus a bit shinier than normal and definitely more manageable & smooth than usual. Overall, it’s a nice product with cons that may stick out to some people more than others.
