I am only giving this product 2 out of 5 lipsticks. I used this a few times in school and gave it one more chance when I purchased it for use on my daughters naturally wavy, color-treated, dryness prone hair. I used this product from in its entirety with the matching conditioner and moisture treatment. I feel like her hair never reaped moisturizing benefits from this shampoo. Quite the opposite actually. After use of this shampoo, her hair felt even drier than before. I stopped use of this product after the bottle was empty and I do not carry this product in the salon. Not only did it make her hair feel drier, the shampoo (and conditioner) had an almost offputting chemical-like smell. I was not pleased with this product line for moisturization of the hair. I would not recommend this for people struggling with dryness. Tea Tree Special Lavender Mint Moisturizing is what I recommend for moisturizing that is truly beneficial. As with all JPMS products, this shampoo is never tested on animals!

Not sure what’s up with all of the negative reviews…this is a vertially unscented shampoo that has a hybrid gel-cream consistency. It makes my virgin roots but very processed ends feel so soft without being weighed down. I get no frizz with this or many flyaways. I used to use the Lavender Mint shampoo from Paul Mitchell which has a thicker consistency and stronger sent of essential oils but decided to try one of his original lines as the price difference was pretty significant.

It does a very good job of getting my hair clean but also dries it out and flattens out the curl in my hair. It does smell nice and you don’t need to use a lot. Probably better suited for those with a normal hair type. My hair is prone to frizz and if I didn’t follow with a good conditioner, I would have a bad hair day.I will have to pass on this.

Really wanted to like this product as I love the teatree and lavender shampoo (they had sold out). I won’t repurchase again and will stick to the tree tree shampoo by Paul Mitchell.
My hair is thick, curly (puffy) and frizzy and it really dried out my hair.. but at the same time left heaps of build up and it looked really gross. Sigh..

Unfortunately this shampoo didn’t work for me at all, it made my hair feel dry, frizzy and tangled, also it didn’t really clean my hair. Even after washing several (ten…?) times, I didn’t manage to get out my pre-shampoo coconut oil treatment, which never happened to me with any other shampoo.
It’s a very gentle shampoo, and I suspect it would probably work for softer hair types as a light, daily shampoo. Smells like green leaves, quite natural.

I like this a lot. It doesn’t feel harsh on my hair, and my hair is soft and easy to style after. It won’t add volume, though. I prefer Paul Mitchell’s awapuhi ginger line but it is much more expensive so this is a good alternative. Packaging is nice and price is reasonable. I paid around $11.

Depending on what you want, this could be a pretty good shampoo. I have chemically straightened hair and my roots are growing out, making my hair slightly prone to frizz. Although this may be a complaint for others, I find it nice – It flattens my hair, but not in a way that it looks greasy. It smells kinda like peppermint and overall my hair feels nice and clean after I use this. If you have dry frizzy hair that you want to tame, this is a pretty good shampoo 🙂

Love this shampoo! Could be a bit thicker in lather especially for the moisture part but it does the job I feel

Wasn’t the best shampoo I’ve used, wasn’t the worst either though. I found product to be quite thick, it was difficult to remove from bottle. Didn’t feel much of a difference considering it is supposed to be moisturising. Will be trying Bumble and Bumble Quenching line next time. Definitely won’t purchase again.

Worst shampoo ever! I just decided to try out a new one today. It didnt even lather up properly. And made my hair tangle so bad. Now my hair is all dry and limp. Its almost liek washing your hair with some drying soap.
My boyfriends also used it he hates it too. He said it gave him alot of dandruff and ruined his hair. So never buying again. Not gonna use it after the first wash. Will prolly throw it in the bin. Waste of money.
