I’ve been using it for a few months now 5/7 days a week with the Lush veganese conditioner every third wash and I’m actually really liking it. I have thick straight hair. I used to use Lush’s rehab shampoo but it wasn’t right for daily use.
The texture is a gel that’s green with little microbeads of “superfruit goji berry”, that you can crush inbetween your fingers and disintegrate during a shower. I like using a liberal amount and lather into the scalp. It’s a nice texture and gives good lather. It doesn’t stay in the scalp or hair after shampoo and makes the scalp feel clean afterwards. I will say its a tiny bit drying without a conditioner if you plan on using it everyday, but otherwise that’s about it as for cons. It’s also nice and clarifying as a daily shampoo, but I don’t know if I would recommend it for someone who washes their hair only once a week as it might not be powerful enough. I mainly like it because its clarifying for daily use, but not drying.
It smells like you expect it would because of the green color. It is a nice kiwi-ish tropical generic smell, sort of inbetween fake candy smell almost, but just fresh enough to not be super synthetic. It is also not too heavy of a scent, so while your hair does smell like it after washing its not like in your face powerful. I recommend popping the cap open at the store and sniffing it to see if its a scent that will work for you, as they aren’t sealed, IIRC.
The container is nice, I like it. It looks nice in the shower and I especially like the little hard plastic circle on the cap so you can pop it off easier. It was really thoughtful, so thank you, Garnier!
The pricing is great! I think I bought it for like 4$ at my local grocery and the amount of product you get lasts so long. Every once in a while there are store coupons for the Garnier products too, so keep an eye out for those. I think I’ve been using it since September and I’m barely at half a bottle, so that’s about 5 days a week x (5 monthsx4weeks in a month: 20 weeks)= 100 washes for half a bottle. So x2=about 200 washes per a bottle for me. Not bad for around 4 dollars or 2 cents a wash! I don’t know why I did the math, but enjoy LOL. XD
TLDR; Love it for daily use, not very drying if you use the right conditioner. Great bargain, would definitely repurchase!

I have their Moroccan oil and curl defining leave-in, and NEEDED something to clear off a bad encounter with Dove, which I used to like.
This is like a clarifying shampoo except it doesn’t dry my skin. It also has a different fragrance and texture than the other Garnier products; the usual off-apple scent is here a sweeter, fruitier one, which is ok although I love the Daily Care.
A lot of people seem to dislike this but I think it’s great for clearing up product and residue. It’s not creamy OR runny. It’s like a very light gel. It goes well with one of my favorite body washes, St. Ives Clear and Bright, which is fruity and pink and exfoliating. It’s nice when body washes match shampoo.
So I definitely need a conditioner after but the curl defining cream works pretty well.
Recommended for oily/wavy/gunky hair which needs a good cleaning.

This product is TERRIBLE. It dried out my hair after one use; my hair felt like hay. I don’t use heat and my hair has no color treatments on it but still this terrible shampoo managed to ruin it. The Hydra recharge shampoo should be recalled. The fructis marketing department must be submitting a lot of these positive reviews and they need to stop because they are ruining hair. STAHHHP!

PROS:
– hair felt really smooth afterwards
CONS:
– This shampoo made my hair really tangled while washing
– lots of hair loss while washing

My hair is thick, coarse, and dry. I thought this shampoo would be great, but I hate it.
PROS:
– it does leave my hair feeling very smooth after I’ve dried it
CONS:
– the shampoo is VERY thick making it almost impossible to work through my hair and lather
– while washing, it makes my hair texture kind of weird and easy to tangle

I’m not sold on this product. I’ve been using it for around a month I would say and I’ve noticed a pretty significant improvement after a dreadful run with a salon brand that left my hair in just terrible condition. It did great for returning my hair to it’s original shine and softness but it doesn’t leave it as clean for as long as I would like. I have pretty dang thick hair and lots of it, and its not oily so generally I do “hair day” every other day, sometimes I can wait three days. I wanted to wait to review this until I had been using it for a few weeks so I knew how it really worked. I find my hair loses a little bit of its “oomph” after just a day, and I can usually keep it going for a few days. Overall I do like this line, but I’m not sure if I will keep using it. I was struggling with how many lippies to give it, and I decided to give it four because I do think it’s a really good quality product, I’m just not sure if it’s the right one for my hair. I would recommend it for anyone to try! I don’t think most people will be disappointed with it. I’m not disappointed, but I do think there is a better product out there for my hair.
****UPDATE**** I had a severe allergic reaction to this product. I got incredibly itchy skin accompanied by hives if I even itched a little bit….I thought it was from my new puppy that I have only had a few months, but I realized the itching had only been going on as long as I had been using this. So I changed products and a week later the itching has almost stopped all the way. I know not everyone is going to have this reaction and everything works different for everyone, but I never have allergic reactions. I will never be buying Garnier products again…I’m sure it’s an ingredient they use. I wont take lippies off because of the reaction, because overall I like what it did with my hair. Just be cautious!!

i was surprised at how good this works! not only does it have minimal sulfates in the shampoo but the conditioner has no silicone! i was super surprised for a store brand to leave that out! the shampoo is a smidge drying but if you use the conditioner and maybe use a little leave in conditioner in your hair after its fine! however because of its lack of silicone it seems drying because alot of us are used to our hair after using silicone products which (gives the temporary shiney and healthy effect)… so give it a chance it does a good to average job for what you pay for it. and if you must follow the sulfate free hype just use this conditioner! its rich and lightweight and smells awesome which is a plus!

I never had flakes in my hair before using this and the conditioner . This left flakes in my hair and it was very dry like straw.
