I have an oily scalp, and very dry ends. I wash and flat iron my hair every day. Recently, I have been in search of a sulfate-free, low or no sudsing shampoo, because hairdressers and magazine articles have been making me feel guilty about how I treat my hair. Well, I think I’m finally over it.
The following are the directions for this product:
Wet hair completely, so the no lather co-wash can work in easily.
Gently message into hair and scalp, especially the ends, for 3-5 minutes so it can deeply nourish curls.
Rinse well with warm water.
Now, I have a lot of hair, but even I would be concerned about losing hair from massaging my scalp for even 3 minutes, let alone 5! So I compensated for not doing that by going through the process twice. I used a little bit of conditioner because my hair tangles easily, and then on to the blowdry.
My hair felt dirty, and just unpleasant, like I used too much styling product or forgot to rinse my conditioner out really well (I did neither). I was actually contemplating getting back in the shower and starting over with a regular shampoo, it was that bad. The only saving grace of this experience is that I didn’t pay the $18 full retail price (I paid $14 and change). Still not good, but I’m trying to find something positive that I can get out of this experience. But now I realize. These no sudsing, or low sudsing shampoos aren’t for people like me with oily scalps. I will use the shampoo I want to use, and I am not going to feel guilty anymore.

I have naturally curly hair. This product is meant to clean and condition in one step. It is also a sulfate-free, no lather shampoo. Initially that was weird for me because I am used to having a lot of suds which many experts say is very drying to hair.
You wet your hair, work this stuff in and leave it on for about 3 minutes and when you wash it out, you hair is so soft. After rinsing it out, I was in such a hurry that I forgot to put any styling product in my hair, but it still looked good because of the soft curls that resulted from using this product. I was pleasantly surprised.
