I liked this a lot, but I need something slightly more moisturizing. Since it was a bit on the drying side, though, my hair literally would never get greasy ever and I could have gone longer between washes than I did. I might consider repurchasing and using once in a while, but for me this isn’t for daily use.

I was hesitant to try this because of bad experiences with natural shampoo.
I should have left it alone.
Although it smells amazing and lathers well, after two days my waves were gone and my hair looked lank and greasy. Ran back into the arms of my Suave Sleek and tossed this into the trash.

I am giving up on this shampoo after suffering through 3/4 of the bottle, and I got a bulk size bottle too. After reading all the positive reviews, I invested in this product. My hair and scalp are on the normal/dry side. This shampoo made my scalp slightly itchy after one day, and my hair never felt very clean and soft after each wash. I stuck through it, but finally decided to jump ship. I used TBS Banana shampoo, which I have used in the past, and noticed what a difference it has made my hair with just one use. More than ever, I am motivated to write a negative review for this shampoo, as it did not give me the same results as it did for other reviewers.

I like this shampoo and I love the matching conditioner. I love the sort of lime like scent! I have fine (but far from thin) wavy hair that’s prone to frizz, dryness, and lack of shine. But since I’ve started using this duo my frizz has significantly diminished, my hair is full of shine, and it feels moisturized and soft. The shampoo is clear and has a somewhat gel-like texture, and I find that it lathers up ok. It rinses easily and leaves no residue. I also find that with this line my waves are enhanced a bit, and my hair remains full of body but doesn’t appear ‘poofed’ since my waves remain intact. I use this shampoo as my body wash as well and absolutely love it for that purpose! I buy the liter sized bottles from the Kiss My Face website and find it to be very fairly priced. As a side note – this has been reformulated. It is the new formula that this review is for, so I can’t speak of or compare it to the old one. New formula ingredients: Aqua, C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate, Sodium Chloride (Sea Salt), Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerin, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice*, Argania Spinosa (Argan) Kernel Oil*, Tocopherol Acetate (Vitamin E), Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Leaf Extract*, Lavendula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Oil, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract*, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract*, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Extract*, Urtica Dioica (Nettle) Leaf Extract*, Eucalyptus Globulus (Eucalyptus) Leaf Oil, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus (Lemongrass) Leaf Oil, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Fruit Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Lavendula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Oil, Polysorbate 20, Citric Acid, Potassium Sorbate *Organic

This is a basic, everyday shampoo, just as the bottle claims. It cleans hair without stripping it too much, though I found that repeated use did result in dry hair. After taking a break from it and using it again, it was fine. Nothing fancy, but this does the job. Bonus: I did notice a bit more shine.

I bought this shampoo after reading reviews from ladies with hair similar to mine. Based on that, I took the chance.
First, I have some advice: for those struggling to get a good lather going with any natural shampoo, get an empty and clean shampoo (or conditioner, lol) bottle. Pour the amount of shampoo you usually use in your hair into the bottle, fill it halfway with water, shake until the lather is too thick to shake, and pour it over your hair, and massage it into your scalp. It doesn’t pull on your hair as much (less breakage) and you get a wonderful lather. I do the same with conditioner as well.
Anyway. I bought this shampoo and the conditioner and used them that very night. I adore the smell! It’s kinda like lime jello, but less sugary. In all, very refreshing and lovely.
This shampoo does a fantastic job of cleansing my hair without stripping it. It can be a touch drying, but I usually just leave the conditioner in a little longer and that problem is solved.
When I get out of the shower, I gently squeeze excess water out of my hair with my towel (no rubbing) and style as usual. My hair is utterly gorgeous, soft, smooth, and super shiny.
I will definitely be buying the big bottles of this shampoo and conditioner after I run out.

At first I was a bit tentative to try this product. Firstly, there area few mixed reviews on it and secondly, my hair doesn’t generally like products that are high in aloe vera. I bought the Whenever shampoo with Argan Oil that does not have as high a concentration of aloe as the regular shampoo and I absolutely love it. It smells like Mike ‘n Ike which is a total bonus. I find that if used regularly the scent does stay in the hair for a second day which leads me to another bonus: great second day hair when normally I have to wash my hair daily. I’ve gotten quite a lot of compliments on my hair lately as well because it gives me a lot of volume, accentuates my natural wave, and the chamomile in it has lightened my hair ever so slightly – a big bonus for me because I had accidentally darkened it a few summers ago with rosemary water. Next time I will be buying the larger pump bottles of the argan shampoo and conditioner. One word of caution: I find my hair does feel quite tangled after washing so I generally comb through it gently while wet or use some extra argan oil product (like Moroccan oil or RenPure blow out cream) so that it dries smoothly, but if you let it dry tangled it’s really not a problem, the hair is so smooth when it’s dry that the tangles almost fall out on their own.

Okay, so I used this shampoo a while back when I received a trial size of the shampoo/conditioner, and I remembered it softening my hair a lot and making it shiny and manageable…well, either they’ve changed it since then (unlikely) or it wasn’t this shampoo that did that for me. Even using it with the conditioner doesn’t make my hair easier to deal with or soft like I remember from the past.
PROS:
– improves shine
– smells good in the shower
– not that expensive
CONS:
– causes hair to be coarse
– scent dies after a few hours (which I don’t like)
– need to use a lot to get it to lather

I have color treated wavy hair that is prone to frizz. Whenever Shampoo doesn’t cause my color to fade (I shampoo daily) and now my hair has excellent body & shine without the use of other styling products. I do use styling products, but I wanted to give this shampoo & matching conditioner a true test. The matching conditioner is great for days when I need a light conditioning, but I wish Kiss My Face would introduce a deep moisturizing conditioner in this line.
I’ve been using this product for a month and I can’t see myself going back to salon shampoos in the future. This product has put an end to my shampoo hoarding/shopping.
If you are tired of shampoos coating your hair, weighing it down or stripping it, try this one.

Ok, I’ve only used this shampoo once so far, but I really liked it. I’m trying to be more natural in my beauty routine and get back to basics, so after the reading all the great reviews here, I tried this, and the matching conditioner. I LOVE the fresh lime smell, and I found this cleaned my frizzy dryish hair very gently. If someone has super oily hair, I’m not sure if it would do the trick, but I only wash my hair about 2-3 times a week, so this is perfect. It has a teeny tiny lather, but that’s fine. My hair felt clean and soft after rinsing. I’ll be sure to update if anything changes, but so far so good!
