Been using this product for probably almost a year now. I have long, thin, straight hair that I have bleached a few times over the past 2 or 3 years. I usually bleach it myself with boxed bleach from the store. I’ve also had a friend, who does hair professionally, put in blonde highlights.
Every time I’ve bleached my hair, & even the time I had her do my hair, it came out a lot more yellow-y than I wanted.
& as we all know, bleach will make thin hair even thinner & flatter.
But this shampoo is amazing!!! While it hasn’t really made my hair feel any less dry or damaged (which isn’t a huge deal to me), it manages to add volume to my hair which makes it seem thicker than it is! Just that alone surprised me! & on top of that, it takes only 2 or 3 uses before ALL the yellow in my hair is GONE!
Seriously guys!!! It has turned my hair into the silvery-white blonde I was wanting! There’s even a faint purple shimmer to some of the lighter strands of my hair, which looks so cool!
People are always asking who did my hair or what dye I used to get it this color!

I’m on my second bottle, and I am never impressed with shampoos enough to purchase more than once. I’ve been alternating this with other shampoos, and the verdict is in – my hair is more sleek, shiny, bouncy and full of life when I use this. I only highlight the front of my hair but I use it on all my hair since it leaves it so healthy looking. Last time I bleached, my hair turned very golden as I didn’t quite make it to pale yellow. I ordered a toner and actually planned to do a second bleaching, but used this in the meantime. Within a few washes, I had my dream color. Between this and Shimmer Lights – no contest. Shimmer Lights works great as far as counteracting brass, but why dry your hair out if you don’t have to. If you do want to get some good color out of this, go ahead and leave it in for a good 10 minutes. I love the smell of this also and find that it lingers a bit in the hair. The packaging is efficient as well.

I’m on my second bottle of this and finally bought the conditioner with it too. I find this purple shampoo to one smell better than shimmer lights but for me this works just as well without so much drying of my hair. I use this on my hair wet or dry I prefer wet I leave this on when I shave etc,. My hair is past a level 11 I use Wella frosty ash for my colour and this shampoo really helps maintains it. It doesn’t dry my hair out and it has a great smell.
I purchase mine at Ulta because they usually have sales or free gifts with purchase so it works out. The price is meh but the product itself is excellent imo. If you find shimmer lights too drying or dislike the scent try this it’s a great alternative. It makes my hair stay a beautiful blonde without dryness. Couldn’t be happier with a toning shampoo. Recommended.

For reference I no longer color my hair and it is very light at the crown and sides. I recently had my hair cut and styled at a high end salon and the stylist used this shampoo. I may have ended my search for a quality “toning,” yet conditioning shampoo. However, I recommend using only once weekly.
Pros:
-Toned my whitish hair to a soft pale silvery ash blonde and brightens the darker gray areas.
-Moisturizers and softens while retaining body.
-Adds shine.
-Slight cedar rose fragrance which is divine and faintly lingers. No coconut smell.
-$16.00 for 8oz. Price is OK as quality over quantity any day for me.
Cons: None at this point.
I think there are several reviews for the violet shampoo posted under the TiGI Catwalk Fashionista “Color Safe” shampoo but my review is for the TiGi Catwalk Fashionista “Violet Shampoo”. Also, based on several marginal reviews, this shampoo may work best on unprocessed hair (natural) white or silver that is NOT colored or highlighted.
