I bought this product at Walmart for 5.97 which was a dollar less than John Frieda’s blonde hair care line and far less and more accessible than Shimmery (Shimmering?) Lights as a purple shampoo to tone down yellow and orange tones in my recently bleached attempting-to-go-blonde hair.
I had predominantly orange streaks therefore a blue based shampoo probably would’ve been more effective but I’ve yet to find that anywhere and I’m not brave enough to do a DIY toner with food coloring (though very compelling, see for yourself!)
Anyways, I used this once and it did nothing. So I added half a packed of Ardells Red Gold corrector to a dollop in my palm, massaged it in, and waited before rinsing. Still, no visible change, even in the lighter more yellow regions.
Notably, the purple shade of this shampoo appears far less pigmented than Shim Lights and though it smells not as deathly floral, after 3 shampoos, on separate occasions, my hair feels increasingly dry :/
I wasn’t really expecting miracles but overall it performs worse for my hair than my regular options for shampoo (including; TIGI brand, Ion brand, Biotera-comparable to Biolage).
The smell isn’t even that appealing to me.
I suggest saving your money for S/Lights or perhaps Jhirmack which is an inexpensive brand also sold at Walmart and far more pigmented looking.

For some reason, sulfate free shampoos make my bottle blonde hair like straw! I may be using it wrong or doing something i’m not supposed to be doing, but this stuff was thrown away after one use!

A great shampoo for processed blondes! My hair is a very light ash blonde, very damaged, very porous. It tends to get brassy after a few weeks. I started using this shampoo a week ago and it is GREAT. It’s sulfate-free so it’s very mild, smells great, rinses well, and gives you a great pure baby blonde after the first wash! It moisturizes well too (and trust me i need it) It is essentially a light purple shampoo (it has a slight violet tone) but you can use it everyday. I love it.
