Basically this is the shampoo I use every single day..my hair is medium length and fine, I like that it is silicone free, and the smell is great…it is great for coloured hair, the only issue is when you get to the 25% left of the product, the pump doesn’t seem to get it out..really loving this…now, I always use conditioner so not sure how it does on its own.,but for the price, this is a gentle cleansing..without lots of ingredients that don’t do much for your hair .

the best drugstore product that i’ve ever try!! it wash really well, hydrate and repear so much, protect the color of dye hair and smell sooooo good. no silicone and sulfate, so awsome!!

Just for some reference, I have thin-medium hair, I would say pretty oily I have to wash it everyday. I used 10 pumps (my hair is to the middle of my back) and massaged it into my scalp, and smoothed it down the rest of my hair. The smell has grown on me although I did hate it at first lol It hasn’t weighed my hair down and my hair does feel extremely soft but still clean. My only complaint is when I went to curl my hair my hair seemed extra tangly which is odd for my hair. I’ll update after a few uses as I am wondering if this will cause build up.
EDIT: So i’ve used this a few times and I haven’t noticed any major signs of build-up. I won’t continue to use this because I’ve noticed it making my hair extremely tangly! Which is so odd considering it also makes my hair very soft?? Anyways, I’ve also noticed if you don’t rinse your hair for a significant amount of time, there will be remnants left and will leave your hair oily feeling.
I should also note, however this is a bit of common sense, If you have dandruff or psoriasis, stay away from this shampoo. My mom used this after getting tired of using head and shoulders clinical and her psoriasis came back with a vengeance.

Horrible product. Leaves hair heavy and difficult to blow dry. I used the recommended number of pumps, and rinsed my hair thoroughly. After a considerably longer amount of time blow drying my shoulder length hair, my hair was left with a gummy, tacky, texture. Just awful. Lesson learned here – if it’s too good to be true, it probably is.

I was turned on to this product by my old hairdresser. I dye my hair bright colors quite frequently and needed something that is low lather to combat stripping the color, while still being cleansing and come in at a reasonable price. Generally I wet my hair then wring out most of the moisture before applying the cleansing balm. I usually use about 3-4 pumps for my hair (very short, almost pixi cut). My biggest complaint about this product is trying to find it in stores (Montreal, Canada), almost nowhere sells it!!!
The smell is slightly minty, very fresh but subtle. I don’t find the smell overwhelming and actually quite pleasant. I was worried the menthol in the ingredients would be drying for my scalp but I haven’t had any issues with this, note that I DO NOT wash my hair every day, usually 2-3x per week on average. It leaves a “fresh” feeling on my scalp, typical of menthol but there’s no burning or “cold” feeling with it. The texture is creamy but it isn’t hard to spread through the hair. I usually massage my scalp pretty deeply to make sure it’s really washing everything out. I haven’t had a problem with buildup when using this product but I rinse my hair really, really well when done. I find I don’t need to use a conditioner afterward, it’s moisturizing enough as is (if my hair hasn’t been bleached recently). I did however need to make sure that my body and face are washed AFTER my hair in order to prevent breakouts on my hairline and neck/shoulders.
I think it’s a fairly priced product considering the amount, it’s a large pump bottle (16.9oz, 500ml) that locks when turned to prevent “spilling” when traveling. The bottle is a little bit too big to actually travel with, especially when full. It’s lasted me for the last 5 months or so because I use so little and don’t need to wash my hair very often. The pump wasn’t great and got really stiff towards the end of the bottle. When you finish a bottle there’s quite a bit left inside, so I cut it open and decanted the rest into a travel shampoo container.
Overall, I definitely prefer this to the normal shampoo/condition routine and will keep using it until they (inevitably) discontinue it. I was using the Revlon Uniq One All in One Cleansing Balm before but wasn’t impressed with the scent (cheap fabric softener/ industrial cleaning products come to mind), and now it’s been discontinued on the Canadian market (from what I can tell).

I like the product to some extent, but the pump is awful and does not work so I decanted into a different bottle.
I have coarse and wavy hair. No miracles here. A cheaper product would suffice and there are many.

The bottle I bought is called Evercreme 6 in 1 cleansing balm for dry, damaged hair. I was deciding between this and the one for color treated hair but since this one said safe for color treated hair, I decided to get this as my hair is super dry. I was a bit uncertain as to how it would perform as the reviews were mixed. So, I’m hoping to share my experience and maybe it would help.
The claim: This low lather, no-stripping, no-build-up system with nourishing botanicals cleanses, conditions, treats damaged hair, de-tangles, softens and adds shine.

Why I got this: I wanted a gentle alternative and liked the claim of no animal derived ingredients. Plus, the natural botanicals sounded right up my alley.
My impressions:
Smell: A bit heavy with a vanilla smell. I actually like it as it smells vanilly (if that’s a word?)
Packaging: Plastic bottle with pump: 500 mL.
Lather: It states to use 6-8 pumps but I had to use more- like 13-15 pumps because I have longer hair (two inches past my shoulders) and because I didn’t initially feel any lather. I massaged it through the top of my head and worked my way down my hair adding a bit of water to maintain a little lather. No matter how much you pump, there is always very little lather. I then let it sit for 3-5 minutes as recommended before rinsing.
It rinsed well but I felt a bit of slipperiness.
Verdict: I noticed during washing with this shampoo, that I lost more hair than usual. Enough to make me concerned that I was losing too much hair. Once my hair dried (air-dry), while I liked that my hair felt soft, I didn’t get the shine it promised nor the detangling part, nor was my hair any smoother. It also made my scalp itch. I suspect I am sensitive to an ingredient in this. I don’t know if it’s the fragrance component or the Behentrimonium Chloride of which a small percentage of people experience skin irritations with. And when I tried to search for info online I read that instead of this to look for the ingredient behentrimonium methosulfate instead, which is less irritating. Overall rating: 2 lippies.
Repurchase: No. While the claims are really appealing and I do like L’Oreal products in general, unfortunately my experience using this shampoo wasn’t as expected. The hair loss during washing and the itchiness is what prevents me from using it again.
So now I’m back to using my regular shampoo which is the Cliniderm Soothing Scalp shampoo. It was recommended to me by my dermatologist and is made specifically for sensitive, allergic or dry scalp. It’s also pH neutral, SLS, paraben, dye, lanolin, formaldehyde and protein free with the added benefit of being fragrance free (for those who are sensitive to perfume)-but it’s not as moisturizing as I would like it to be and I have to use it with the accompanying conditioner. But my scalp is happy. Nevertheless, although Cliniderm is okay, my search for an all in one cleansing product continues…

Ugh, it makes me so sad to give this a bad review. I have used the EverCreme line for YEARS, and only recently have I realized that it’s making my hair fall out. HUGE clumps of hair have been falling out in the shower. I have been making more of an effort to cowash instead of use shampoo or the cleansing balm that just came out, and there was a night and day difference in how much hair came out in the shower.
I’m so bummed out. This shampoo/conditioner was my HG for years – it was moisturizing, sulfate free, the smell was a delicious dark vanilla, the price was relatively reasonable, etc. But the hair fallout has been terrible. Now I know why my hair has thinned so much over the years.
I’m copying and pasting this onto the shampoos and cleansing balms, as I’ve gotten hair fallout from every one.

Hate the pump,love the smell. it worked wonders for my hair which is thicker than normal. the kind of thick that hair dressers comment on then 30 minutes into cutting my hair repeat it again with awe in their voice. It’s wavy, frizzy, and unruly. I woke up this am with soft, shiny, FRIZZ FREE hair. love it. wish there was a different way to get it out of the bottle
