This shampoo’s name differs from country to country. The only common thing in the name seems to be the “Citrus.CR” part. This is basically L’Oreal’s Elseve / Elvive / Evital line’s shampoo for oily hair.
Ingredients list: Aqua/ Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Chloride, Coco-Betaine, Glycol Distearate, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Cocamide Mipa, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Hydroxide, Salicylic Acid, Dimethicone, Limonene, Linalool, Carbomer, Citric Acid, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Hexylene Glycol, Hexylene Glycol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Parfum / Fragrance.
My scalp gets oily easily, I have long, fine hair that needs volume. I found the best way to deal with oily scalp is to only wash it 2-3 times a week at most. It also definitely helps to not touch hair often, keep it in a bun as much as possible, and not brush it every day as when we brush the hair the oil on the scalp goes down to the hair. Still, when the shampoo is not good none of this make me go with clean-looking, voluminous hair with only 2-3 times a week wash.
I have tried shampoo for oily hair from Kerastase, Dove, Pantene, Schwarzkopf and couple supermarket brands I can’t remember right now. I just KEEP going back to this one from L’Oreal. It is seriously the best shampoo for oily hair I have tried. Dove and Kerastase ones weren’t bad, but not nearly as good as L’Oreal’s Citrus.CR. Not only it cleans my hair very well and has a lovely scent, it provides more volume than all the others I have tried yet cheaper than brands like Kerastase. I will probably try different shampoos in the future just to test them out (and will add their names to list in this review) but will always continue to buy this one. I really hope L’Oreal never stops making this.
