Still on the search for a new HG shampoo, but unfortunately this is not it! Recieved this in a delivery late last week and have used it a few times now but it just doesn’t work for my hair. The shampoo itself is SLS free and doesn’t have any nasties in it, at the same time and precisely because it’s natural it doesn’t foam all that much. That in itself isn’t an issue for me, it’s more the feeling that my scalp and hair (very thick with oily roots) needs a deeper cleanse than the surfactants in this product can offer.
My HG shampoo was Yes to Carrots (the UK version) which helped immensely with my scalp issues, but that was discontinued some time back. This one doesn’t alleviate my scalp problems at all, it’s literally just a natural fortifying shampoo – nothing more and nothing less. I can’t comment on the ‘reducing hair loss’ claims as I haven’t had hair loss issues for a while, but I doubt anything that stays on your hair/scalp so briefly is going to make a massive difference. All in all not necessarily a bad shampoo but not one that I’d repurchase either.

(As I’ve sampled 100s of skin, hair and m/u products over the last decade and a half, I thought it might be useful to share my top 10 must-have products, subject to change if and when I come across something more effective. I love constantly trying out new stuff – usually sample sizes via e-bay, also plenty courtesy of a friend who works at Sephora)
