Ok. I been using this on and off for about two years now. At first I did not like it because I felt it made my hair too soft and the fact the conditioner was gel like wierded me out. Now I like it. The gel conditioner melts into the hair and no shower mess. Your hair drinks it up till you can not even tell you have a conditioner in your hair. I do not see how anyone’s hair can be crunchy unless they did not rinse their hair well enough. This product seems to work best if you blow dry your hair. The smell is perfumey but light. i have a super sensitive nose and I like this scent. My hair feels moisterized and healthy when I use this

My mother had used this to shampoo my hair after dyeing it (she’s a cosmetologist) and it has left my scalp very itchy. I don’t recommend this to anyone!

Caution! If you love your hair and I am assuming you do. Please avoid the Diamond HIGH shine shampoo/conditioner.
After two uses my hair felt crunchy and DRY as if I’d used hot tools in my hair! Also, this caused horrible itching on my scalp and behind my ears. I also have red rashes on my forehead! I returned this to Ulta for a refund.
We have used Redken hair products at home for almost 9 years and this is the first shampoo/conditioner of theirs to give me this horrible irritation!!

This is for the Diamond Oil High Shine Shampoo not to be mixed up with the Diamond Oil shampoo/conditioner. This bottle has a large gold diamond oil drop image on the bottle with specks of shiny gold around it.
The shampoo has the texture of a pudding; it’s clear but with tons of sparkly gliter in it.
Similar to L’Oreal Elvive Nutri Gloss Crystal Sparkling Shampoo I have seen online that is available in the UK. Don’t worry the shampoo has tons of sparkly glitter in it, but when you wash it you won’t have glitter hands, face, or scalp etc.
I think Redken decided to do Diamond Oil High Shine Shampoo as it’s what the original Diamond Oil shampoo was meant to do.. give you shine!
This shampoo did make my hair very shiny/glossy. I have dark brunette natural hair and after one wash my hair looked a couple of shades lighter. It looks like I just got a fresh hair color job.
I would compare this to Matrix Wonder Oils shampoo.except wonder oils is not a clear glittery gel.
This is the first time I was washing with a “gel” shampoo and I got a good lather, and it has the usual Redken fragrance to it.
I have really thick and dry hair so this shampoo did not make it feel moisturized, but it feels coated and tamed down. This did weigh my hair down a lot.
