I despise this shampoo and conditioner. Very expensive and smells gross to me. After I use this with the conditioner my hair feels like I washed with hand lotion that smells like engine oil. Really over priced and so not for me. My hair looked and felt heavy with no bounce. Pass on this for me.

I’ve been a lover for Joico for about 3 years now. I started off with extremely damaged hair so I tried the KPak, but as my hair began to grow out and ultimately look and feel healthier, I branched off to the Daily Care line. The Daily Care line is no different in texture as your $5 bottle of Herbal Essences. The smell was there, but not as fragrant as I would have liked (mind you – I love to smell floral). On my thick, curly hair I wanted the conditioner especially to be thicker and tame my hair…which it did not. SO, for the price, I feel if you’re wanting to try a Joico line, go KPak, the Moisture affiliated one or the Smooth. It’s not worth your hard earned dollars to buy Daily Care for just average grocery store quality shamp and cond.

I have finally found my perfect shampoo!
This shampoo is so gentle (even though it’s not natural in any way), and basic but it seems to be doing more than any other shampoo I have tried. It cleanses my hair nicely, without drying it out. I actually feel like my hair is more weighless and soft after I have used this.
I also have noticed that my hair does not get oily as quickly as it tends to. I wash it every other day, but on 2nd day, I HAVE to use dry shampoo. I don’t feel the need for that anymore, so that is great!
This shampoo is target for “normal hair” whatever that is, but I think that literally EVERYONE can use this. My hair is weird, as it is super dry, frizzy and probably damaged too, but my roots are oily. Since as I said it really cleanses the hair, but without drying and it even adds extra softness, I feel like everyone would like this. The scent is nice and light as well. As another reviewer said, this smells like pineapple.
– btw.
I add a few drops of tea tree oil in this shampoo, which helps against dandruff, dry scalp and adds extra shine to the hair. Just a quick tip 🙂

___________________________UPDATED REVIEW____________________________
I used this shampoo along with the conditioner for around another 6 months this year. The size of the bottles is awkward (I got the largest size) as they don’t fit in my shower. The pump also clogs frequently.
As for the effects of the shampoo:
-> It dried out my scalp completely and gave me pretty bad dandruff
-> Made much more hair fall out (more than usual).. I’d be rinsing my hair and giant clumps would just come out and it wouldn’t stop
-> Dried out my hair and left it looking damaged
OVERALL would NOT buy again. I was swayed into purchasing it the last time I had my hair cut and styled and now know to refuse this one.

Lucky me I got this shampoo and it’s twin conditioner on sale and decided to try it. It’s been about a month now since the first use and my hair is noticeably softer and very well balanced. This shampoo hasn’t made my scalp and hair any greasier/more oily at all.
It’s a great shampoo except it is a tad expensive if you buy it off-sale. My bottle is 33.8oz and I have to lay it down on the shelf in my shower because it’s too big to stand haha !

The shampoo smells like pineapple to me. Smells awesome! It does balance my hair as intended (I have oily roots). The only downfall for me is that i have pretty sensitive skin, even on my head, and its a little potent for me and leaves me itchy and burning with prolonged use but I am fine as long as I alternate it with a different shampoo every couple days or so. It is an overall good product, so I would definitely purchase this shampoo again.

This is a great daily shampoo for me (fine hair but a lot of it and dry ends, oily roots). When my redken clear moisture shampoo got reformulated and left my hair a dry staticy nightmare I went looking for a new one. I originally tried Joico moisture recovery shampoo and conditioner but felt that was a little heavy so I tried the daily care balancing shampoo and it is perfect. I love pairing it with the intense hydrator (only ears down) this winter since my ends are parched. This combination leaves me with soft moisturized hair that is not staticy and also not weighed down! This line is now being reformulated so I hope they don’t change this one…
