This really did not lather well on me at all. I like a gentle shampoo, but this was too gentle, didn’t feel it left my hair clean, in fact my fine hair looked oilier. I had to go in with another shampoo after this one just to get my hair clean. Would not recommend. Much prefer Therappe.

Holy crap this is the worst shampoo I’ve EVER used. It leaves my hair feeling extremely greasy, and after about two weeks I started to get a lot of flakes and itching on my scalp. I assumed maybe I wasn’t rinsing my hair correctly, so I tried rinsing as thoroughly as I possibly could and using less product… nothing helped.
Then my hair started to break. Why the h*ll was my hair breaking from a shampoo that was not even leaving my hair dry? I have so much breakage now that I look like I have bangs- and I don’t even pull my hair up often or use heat EVER.
Then my hair started fraying at the bottom and frizzing like crazy. I’m so annoyed it is insane, I can only say three nice things about this product:
It smells okay.
My color did not fade.
The bottle is cute.
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Just, don’t do it. It ruined my hair, and now I’m doing everything I can to try and get it to look decent again.

This is the absolute worst shampoo and conditioner I have EVER used. it left as disgusting greasy film in my hair. I had to wash it 3 separate times with other shampoo to get it out Thus completely defeated the whole reason I bought it in the first place, which was to protect my newly coloured hair. I have used other types of sulfate free shampoo and conditioners and I know the difference in the feeling of your hair compared to using regular shampoo. This was not the case. i literally could run my fingers through my hair and SEE the greasy film left on them. And don’t get me wrong, I rinsed my hair for much longer than I need to with any other shampoo I have ever used, and I never apply conditioner to my roots. I am so annoyed that I spent $30 on this shampoo and conditioner, as i will certainly never use it again.

Based on the reviews so far, I wonder if they may have changed the formulation for this.
Right now, it is a pretty terrible shampoo. I used it a couple of months ago, didn’t like it, but recently just ran out of my regular shampoo and decided to try it again. It lathers OK, but I noticed that even after repeated rinsing my wet hair felt really slimy, and as I was blow drying it the sliminess (is that a word?) just never left. Even my hands were slippery. This is day 2 after washing, and my hair feels now like poodle fur – I’m going back to CVS now to get a clarifying shampoo, but I have a feeling it’s going to take a couple of washes to get back to normal. Yikes!

Holy mother of shampoos, this stuff was awful. And when I say awful, I mean AWFUL. I couldn’t get the shampoo to rinse out of my hair? I scrubbed twice. Thinking (stupidly) using the Color Assure conditioner would somehow magically make it better, I put that on next. Good lord my hair has never felt worse or looked worse. I couldn’t even get it to dry there was so much residue. It literally left a film of grease that my hair dryer couldn’t even penetrate. I have never used anything so horrendous on my hair. This should go in the hall of fame, for products from hair hell.

This might be great for someone with thick or coarse hair. But if you have fine or medium thick hair, I wouldn’t recommend this shampoo.
My hair is a medium thickness and the first time I used it my hair felt waxy. I thought maybe I was in a hurry and didnt rinse it as well as I should have. The next few times I washed it, I SCRUBBED my hair and scalp multiple times but my hair STILL felt oily and waxy. The roots were oily and the length was dry and not smooth at all. It drove me absolutely nuts. Once I washed it with another shampoo (some $3 Suave I had in my bathroom closet) my hair was back to normal.
I was pretty disappointed. I saw that it has coconut oil in it so maybe thats why it has such an adverse affect on hair that isnt super thick.

I bought this shampoo on a whim. I’ve only used it twice. I have colored medium textured wavy long hair that I have to wash every 2-3 days bc it tends to get oily since I had a baby 10 months ago. Anyway, I noticed that my scalp felt oily and waxy after I washed it last time. I didn’t feel like rehashing, so I sprinkled some cornstarch/cocoa powder mix on my scalp to combat the oil. I then read the bottle and saw that it’s actually made with oil. Probably great on dryer hair but a little too much build up for me. I had to do a apple cider vinegar rinse to get it out. Nice lather, smells good and not bad on price. Just not for me.

I have been using this shampoo for about a year now and I really love it. I have coarse, wavy hair which is colored with highlights and it does a great job retaining the color and keeps my hair soft. It lathers up great and smells good. I buy the large size that has a great pump which makes it using it easy and it lasts a long time, which makes the higher price ok.

First and foremost I want to say, this shampoo makes my color look stunning! My hair for the past couple of months has been blue. For anyone who has had blue in their hair, it fades to this green color. Not only does this shampoo help delay that, but when it does fade it blends more in with my natural dark hair than anything, only a greenish hue it gives. I just re-dyed mine and used a different brand so it has a bit of a purple cast. I’ll update how this shampoo makes it look.
My only complaint is that it doesn’t lather very well, which is a big turn off for me because I have an oily scalp and when I style my hair I notice some oily patches. Oh well guess I gotta get some dry shampoo!
For a color shampoo I definitely suggest this over any I’ve used in the past. Especially for bright colors. You’ll love the way it turns out!
