I bought this for my mom who was in a nursing home. It is very convenient. Backstory and maybe TMI: in nursing homes, the residents usually only get one shower per week. Hair can obviously look oily within a week for some, so I decided to try this for her. Picked this up at Sally Beauty Supply for currently around $6.00-$7.00USD. So, it is not really a ‘cheap’ shampoo. Obviously not a high end shampoo, but not really cheap, as it kind of looks. But that all aside, it worked very well, even passing my expectations. Very pleased with this. There was no detectable scent (maybe a very slight clean-type of scent). The cap has a flip-applicator, so it is pretty easy to use and apply. It is water consistency, so you need to work fast, applying a little at a time in spots, and massaging it in. I would apply this in small sections, massage it in, until the entire head was done, then I would comb through the hair, using a wide-tooth comb (mom had short hair). It dried within about an hour and really did look clean! This did not seem to itch her scalp an did not irritate her scalp.
Now, I wouldn’t use this for a regular product, but for once in a while, I think it is a very good product for it’s purpose. Exceeded my expectations. I am not sure I would use this as a ‘dry’ shampoo (using for those with an oily scalp and dry ends) or for those with long hair, because I do not know how well it would work in those instances. But for our situation, it worked very well. Not as much is needed as thought when applying this, as it foams up quickly as you massage it in, so a bottle of this does last a while.
