This is my second bottle I will not use anything else. I have fine dry highlighted hair that tends to get brassy pretty fast especially in the summer. I have used Clariol shimmer lights in the past but it was wayyy to drying. This works just as good…nope it works better!! It’s HYDRATING smells amazing is PH BALANCED and removes brassiness. When my blonde gets really bad I leave shampoo on for about 15 minutes then rinse you could get away with not using any conditioner, I use it tho because my hair is extremely dry..when I’m finished my hair is ashy, beautiful and shiny all brass gone!!! Amazing product I will forever use this

What others have said; Removes brassy tones, smells good, and not drying like other blue/lilac shampoos that I’ve tried in the past. And cheaper, too! I leave it in for about 2-3 minutes. Just be careful with your nails – if you spend too long time distributing/massaging this stuff for too long, the blue color will get underneath your nail tips and stain them. Overall great product, hope they will never discontinue it.

My natural hair colour is really coppery red, like Jessica Chastine, so believe me when I say I need a product with a lot of pigment to correct it when I go blonde.
After having my natural red hair long for a couple of years, I decided that I wanted to go back to a platinum blond pixie cut. I got my hair cut and decided to colour it by myself at home. After the dyeing my hair was very yellowy, as expected, but this shampoo managed to correct the pigmentation into an almost white shade of blonde. It worked better than a toner. I now use it 2-3 times a week.
It is not particular drying compared to the Loréal version, actually I’d say it’s the most moisturising silver shampoo I’ve tried.I think it smells slightly like caramel, which was a bit of a surprise, but the scent is actually really nice and not overpowering. It is easy to use particular if you go for the salon size with a pump. As long as I’m blonde, I will repurchase this shampoo.

Almost through my second bottle, and I will definitely be buying again. This shampoo keeps my white hair absolutely, beautifully, silvery white. Even better, it does so without stripping my hair or making it brittle. Instead, after my once a week use of this shampoo, my hair is silky soft and snowy white.
By far the best “purple” shampoo, I’ve ever used.

Love this shampoo for my blonde hair. It really stops my blonde hair from going brassy. I don’t use this every day but I think it’s quite moisturising for a silver shampoo. Definitely will buy again

This stuff is magical! I used the size of a quarter on my crown where I highlighted my own hair. And poof. ALL brass is gone as if I stepped out of the salon! I have beautiful pale highlights with no gold or red tones. Ardell red gold corrector in the bleach helped some. But this purple shampoo is what did the job. FYI: I’ve tried shimmer lights years ago to correct the brass after color but I remember it gave my hair a purple tinge. And I remember fighting the dryness. You won’t have that problem with Schwarzkopf Silver. It’s so good it moisturizes too. My bangs are flowy more than before! And plus, it even blended the lines where my color separates the recolor that left stripes of discoloration from years of color. Anyway, you get the idea. Grab yourself a bottle; you won’t be disappointed.

This is the ultimate color shampoo for blondes! I’ve tried them all and have noticed the ones with the deep purple color are really the best (which this one definitely is). What sets this one apart is the non-drying healthiness the shampoo gives, counteracting the damage from dying. I like my hair on the cool/ashy blonde side so I use this daily without any over-dryness, though I could also see using this every other day or once a week if you like a warm but not brass blonde. It’s a good price and hits all the checkmarks.

I have tried numerous violet shampoos and this, by far, is the best one I’ve ever used. It neutralizes all brassiness and makes my hair look white blonde, even though I haven’t had my hair coloured in 3 months!! It’s a little drying, but it’s not meant for moisture and a lot less drying than most violet shampoos, therefore I did not take a lippy off; just use a good conditioner after and you can’t notice any dryness. I bought it for $17 CAD at BSO and, as I have short hair, one bottle has last me over 3 months. Will I repurchase?? As long as they continue to make it, you can be sure for it – a definite HG!

Being a bleach blonde, and absolutely hating even a HINT of brassiness, I have tried many products to eliminate brass. Toners and blue/violet shampoos. Shimmerlights was way too harsh and drying. Aveda Blue Malva didn’t really do much. I kind of liked the l’Oreal one, but then I picked up this little gem one day when I was desperate and couldn’t find my L’Oreal (I think it was when they had discontinued it)… Now I will never need to try anything else… I have found the one that not only works amazing on eliminating brassiness and adding coolness to my hair, but is also PLEASANT smelling and HYDRATING! I haven’t used a color-depositing shampoo that was ever remotely hydrating until this. On the days I use this, I definitely get comments on how gorgeous my color is, or how much brighter my hair looks today… It really does the trick for rejuvenating your bleached hair. I naturally have some red undertones since I am naturally blonde, fair, with blue eyes… so I know this does the job well. On the days I use it (typically once a week as needed), I shampoo first with my normal shampoo to remove all the residue and clean it well. Then I apply this shampoo and rub it in well, pushing the color in with a slight circular motion. Then I let it penetrate my hair and sit while I do other things in the shower… usually about 3 minutes. Thats usually enough time for the shampoo to do it’s magic. I will be very upset if/when they discontinue this 🙁 It is an important staple in my hair care routine!!
