The smell is a bit much for me . I’m not into it . I’m not saying it smells bad . Just not for me.the shampoo is just …I don’t know .just something to use if you don’t have other shampoo . It’s not anything amazing .

Not amazing, but considering it’s natural and healthy and not super expensive it is a good shampoo, I just wasn’t blown away. Its kind of watery and doesn’t lather that much (because it’s natural) so you have to use more than you would with a concentrated shampoo.

I really like this shampoo! For starters it’s cruelty free!!! It’s smells super good and really cleans the hair gentle and nice. The bottle is a bit pricey at $10.99 for a 355ml bottle but truthfully, I’ve spent way more on products that contain less! The consistency is thin and when other reviews said it doesn’t lather well…..they are right…..kind of.
The nice thing about buying natural products is that they often don’t lather like traditional shampoo. This still cleans really nice though so it’s a bit deceiving and could be potentially wasteful for someone who needs to “wash rinse repeat” I suggest rinsing and evaluating first before doing it again.
I felt like I didn’t get mind blowing volume but my hair definitely feels soft, shiny and a bit fuller. Like I mentioned the smell is lovely so I feel so fresh and clean after. It’s a worth a shot!

I have fine, thin hair and it seems like my cowlick keeps getting larger as I get older, plus I use hair spray and lots of gel for work, so imagine how much my hair is thinning!
On top of that, I am a sufferer of ‘smelly hair/scalp’. My hair would be washed and dried right before I sleep and the next day it would start to smell. I am desperate to maintain my hair (or what’s left of it), so much so that it stresses me out whenever I see hair pooling in the drain cover each time I shampoo with Pantene’s Total Damage Care, so I got this seeing how much this shampoo is raved about!
First thought of this shampoo is that it’s really watery unlike usual shampoos which are relatively viscous. I read reviews below that it does not foam (much). True enough, it lathers into thin foam as you massage into your scalp, and then the foam disappears as though your hair isn’t cleaned adequately.
Well well, this shampoo proved me wrong! After rinsing the shampoo off, my hair feels squeaky clean, some what like the kind of cleanliness you get when using a clarifying shampoo except its less ‘plasticky/staticky’. This is supposed to smell like mango, but I would think it smells like artificial fruits just not mango; however I like the smell and it lingers for really long!
Finally, what’s most important, my hair appears fuller (even when I air dry, not blow dry) AND my scalp/hair does not stink even on the following day!!!!
I will use this until I find a better one, maybe Nioxin for the next shampoo! 😉
Update: Hair fall seems lesser even when blow drying but appears as frizzy as before even with the use of Pantene 3 minute miracle. But it’s fine for me, I guess!

I generally like Alba Botanica products because of their natural ingredients, so I was happy to see that my local Target carried large bottles of both the mango shampoo and conditioner. I’m not crazy about the shampoo–it doesn’t lather very well (I generally use twice as much as I would another brand) and leaves my hair feeling really gummy. The conditioner is good at making my hair smooth again, but there’s no way I would only use the shampoo.

I really like this! Most shampoos make my hair super oily if i dont wash it every other day and it even looks a little oily the morning after i wash it ( i shower at night)! With this shampoo i can go two days withought washing my hair and it looks healthy and soft. I have thin hair so this is great! And of course, it makes my hair soft, healthy, and volumized. I am also able to let my hair air dry withought it turning frizzy and dry looking

This product is pretty amazing! Smells great, really good ingredients (as in, I can read through the list and understand the majority of them), and feels great in my hair. It actually does increase your volume, and used with its conditioning pair, it keeps your hair really healthy feeling and looking!
I feel that it isn’t particularly the best price, nor does it do anything shockingly different from other good brands. However I do appreciate that a little goes a long way with this shampoo and it uses great ingredients!

This is the first and only volumizing shampoo I have used bc I never thought a shampoo would give my limp hair body. This shampoo quickly made me bite my tongue. My hair is shiny, bouncy, and not to mention more manageable. I feel like now I have presence with my vava voom hair.

To be honest I am a bit confused about this product. I have fine hair plus oily roots and dry ends. Usually I use volumising or clarifying shampoo (I only apply shampoo to my hair roots and conditioner to the ends). This shampoo smells very nice and cleans my hair very well. Plus on second day my hair still looks quite clean. My only problem is this shampoo does not lather at all and this just frustrates me, I know that it could be a good thing, but it feels too weird. Plus the ingredient list is not as clean as other natural shampoos have, I would prefer not to see some of the ingredients there.

i buy this shampoo over and over and over again. the smell is to die for. pure fruity mango scent. the shampoo is soft and lush and i just love it. gives me volume, lathers nicely…
i can only use natural products because i have psoriasis and anything synthetic irritates my skin and makes it itchy, red and flaky. my scalp has been much calmer since i switched to this shampoo and last week i showered at my fiance’s house with a regular SLS shampoo and my scalp was itchy again… this stuff is just great! i love it.
