I usually use the GVP version of Shimmer Lights from Sally’s Beauty, but this was cheaper and I like other Hask products so I thought I’d give it a go. Unlike other toning shampoos I’ve tried, this does not lather with blue or purple suds- they were almost completely white. It also lathered so much, oh my goodness. I haven’t had a shampoo lather this much. I didn’t think this would be a very effective toner because my water wasn’t running blue or purple as I rinsed, but it really worked. It made my hair ashy. The con, and it’s a big con, is that my hair felt very dry afterwards. I used a conditioning balm and it still isn’t its usual soft self. I am giving this a low score because of how dry it made my hair. I figure it is probably mostly processed blondes who are using this, and we need something with moisture for our locks. Definitely won’t repurchase, but I’ll finish it up since I’ll only need it once a week and I think I can recover my hair between washes. But if I start having breakage like I’ve read other reviewers are having, I’ll stop and return this.

Has a light chamomile flower scent that I like. This blue colored shampoo cleanses well but does dry out my fine, dry hair. I did find that this product did indeed brighten the blonde tones in my hair. I noticed a difference in less than a week. Update: After one month, I have realized that this shampoo is way too harsh for my hair. My hair is breaking off, dry, coarse and frizzy.
