I have long thick wavy hair and usually wash my hair every 3-5 days. I also rarely use conditioner, as I don’t always appreciate residue and extra product in my hair. This shampoo is lovely! Very sudsy, smells good and rinses clean and leaves my hair very smooth and soft even before it has dried. I love it and I love the bottle design too, the packaging and pink cap. Feels like a luxuriant shampoo and I would recommend and purchase again.

I was very disappointed with this shampoo ,conditioner and styling products. I love the packaging and the product smells nice but that is where why love for this ends. It left my hair dry and just blah . I switched because it was on sale and some people have said they actually like this but I went back to my tried and true Organix hair care products . The L’Oreal shampoos and conditioners have sulfate as most do so it dried my hair . I returned it and got my Organix shampoo, conditioner and styling products.

First my hair is fine, wavy and only the ends are ombred, the rest is natural. My hair temds be be a combo pf oily scalp , normal or dry remainder.
I used both the shampoo and conditioner with no other products and let my hair air dry.
This product is not good, left hair stringy and oily like I put oil or serum on. I flat ironed my two front pieces just to see it the hair was so greasy it went stick stiff straight.
I guess it did take some frizziness by adding weight. Maybe this would be better for some with thick hair. Would never buy again.

I used this with the polishing conditioner, and was not impressed. I color my hair 3-4 times a year, so it’s pretty dry. I should have known it was probably drying when I saw that it came out of the bottle clear. I like the scent. It lathered and cleansed well, but I observed no smoothing or polishing effect whatsoever.

7-8 years ago, I used Matrix Sleek.look (which has since been reformulated). It was one of the best shampoos I’ve ever used since it never left my hair dry. I forgot why I stopped using it (probably to track down even better things, though they don’t really exist), but I remembered it recently and got this smoothing shampoo to see if I could replicate the past at a cheaper price. Don’t really need smoothing, just a shampoo that is not drying. I’m also working in a humid environment though, so I thought it would help anyways.
PROS: I do think it helps smooth the hair a litle bit.
CONS: So drying. I used it 3 times before I returned it… my hair literally squeaks after I shampoo with this, like it’s been stripped and needs conditioner ASAP. Even as a weekly shampoo, it was so harsh.
OVERALL: I returned it and will in time try the Power Moisture one instead.

I have an oily scalp that gets itchy and flaky, while the rest of my thick, waist length 2b/c curly hair is dry. Treating it with moisturizing shampoos gets rid of the itchiness and flakes, but makes my scalp a greasy mess. Shampoos for oily hair get rid of the grease, but make my scalp even itchier and flaky. I have tried expensive and drugstore shampoos. I tried and love Alterna Anti-Aging Moisture Shampoo, but it’s too expensive for regular use. I thought a gel-based shampoo, not a creamy one, would work better for the oiliness, so after sniffing and looking at the textures of several shampoos, I picked this one. It became clear within two weeks that this was a bad choice. I found this shampoo very irritating to my scalp, making it oilier, itchier, and flakier within 24 hours (and I only shampoo every other day). I also had an eczema breakout on my scalp, which had NEVER happened to me before. As for the smoothing effects of this shampoo: I noticed my roots were even frizzier and the short pieces of regrowth stuck out in every direction. The packaging of this was also cumbersome, I would store it upside down and this would cause way too much shampoo to pour out. I won’t buy this again.

Recently took a trip to Florida where the humidity can be very high and to my horror my hair went crazy with curl and frizz. This shampoo and its companion conditioner did wonders to tame my hair after the very first use. With continue use, it leaves your hair sleek and shiny, but eventually I did find it a bit drying and my hair became heavy and flat looking. I have since switched back to my regular brands, but I would definitely use this again when I return to any coastal climate.
