My first venture into the Giovanni hair care world and I’m quite delighted. To be honest I purchased this and the companion conditioner based on being color safe and the fact it was 80% off at a Fairway store closing sale. I figured if it was awful I’d give it to my friend and her daughter. Well, I like this. Alot. I have fine wavy color treated hair that I no longer hightlight. Straight single process to cover gray. This product cleans without stripping and leaves my hair fuller. My colorist warned me that Volumizing shampoo can be drying but I haven’t experienced that. I’ve spent thousands of dollars over the past 30 years on costly salon shampoo that has under performed. No more. As long as its safe for color treated hair, sulphate free and store returnable I’ll try. With this I’m so happy I did.

I really love a lot of other Giovanni products so I was super excited to try this shampoo. I also purchased the conditioner which I’ve been using in conjunction with it.
Sadly I was very disappointed. If anything, my hair has been a lot flatter and limp than it normally is 🙁 I am going to keep using it and see if it improves but so far I’ve used it twice and it’s been unimpressive. It was expensive I don’t want to throw it out but I will not be re-purchasing.

If I could give this negative reviews I would, I got a sample of this from whole foods and used it only twice and it completely stripped my hair of all moisture, before this I could go a year without using any kind of conditioner and my hair was perfect, now after two hair masks my hair still doesn’t look or feel the same. It will ruin your hair don’t use it, I’m so upset, now I’m waiting for my real hair to grow out. Never have I had such a negative experience with a shampoo before.

I picked this up because I needed shampoo, I like Giovanni mostly, and the other two shampoos in the line have silicones, which my scalp hates. I do not need volume in my hair though! This is a nice, gentle & not over stripping shampoo, it lathers well and leaves my hair pretty soft. I do wish the other shampoos were silicone free since I’d be happier with a little less volume. Overall, I like it. Can’t really take points off a volumizing shampoo for leaving my hair too voluminous!

I am not too sure what to make of this shampoo. The ingredient list looks mostly natural, only a few things I cannot pronounce but it still gave my hair a “too squeeky, dry feeling” while still wet and on hair. I did get some nice root volume and will surely use this one my roots when I am going out or it is a special occasion. I just do not feel like this is an every day shampoo, even though it says it is. I would rather use something more gentle day to day and save this for big hair days.
Overall, creates great root volume, smells beautiful and for the most part has a decent ingredients list. Just wish they would shake some of the chemicals first listed!

Giovanni’s 2 Chic Volume Shampoo is amazing! The smell is invigorating. I’m not one for fruity smells, but has a natural citrus scent. It almost energizes you when washing your hair. As far as volume goes, it really does work. Some volume products dry my scalp out, this doesn’t. It plumps my hair and creates a thick texture. Will be buying the shampoo and conditioner again.

I wasnt expecting to like this shampoo as much as I do. I love the Giovanni line because their packaging is very sleek and modern, they lack sulfates and smell nice, too. When I was at Walmart looking over the options for natural shampoos that volumize, I bought this one and love it. Bouncy, fluffy and SHINY hair is what I got. It lathers really well and my scalp feels nice and clean. Highly recommend!

I just bought this shampoo this week & I love it already. It smells good, lathers well, cleans efficiently without overdrying, and offers soft, bouncy volume, ALL while being natural. As with most volume shampoos, I find it more on the cleansing side, HOWEVER, I also can’t believe how silky my hair is with this shampoo. NO volumizing shampoo I have ever used made my hair silky. They all left it dry and fuzzy. This shampoo definitely cleanses more than my absolute favorite shampoo, the 2chic Olive Oil & Avocado, but I think it’s perfect because I alternate between the two. I also adore the 2chic Olive Oil & Avocado shine serum, so this shampoo helps with build-up. I only wash 2-3 times a week (I have very dry, damaged color-treated hair), and this shampoo is definitely in the rotation with the Olive Oil/ Avocado one. I love both of these shampoos better than the Smooth as Silk shampoo, which just didn’t impress me as much as either of these. I plan to keep using both of these as I have a perfect system worked out now between cleansing/volumizing and moisturizing.
