I’ve been using this self tanner for a few years and absolutely love it! I actually use the ‘dark’ shade on my body and the ‘light’ shade on my feet, hands and elbows. The results I get are flawless. The color on me is very natural and smooth. My friends always ask me if I ‘laid out’ the day after I apply tanceuticals. I’ll never tell haha

After trying literally dozens of self tanners over the years, I can say Tanceuticals is the best I’ve used by far.
It’s actually different from other self tanners in that it smells good and it’s very thin.
I like that it goes on easily and spreads with no effort. Most self tanners are these thick creams or mousses that take FOREVER to apply and feel “wet” for 60 minutes. That’s not the case with this one. It dries within just a few minutes.
One bottle goes a long way and they even make one for your face.
Just great line all around!

After seeing a bunch of celebrities posting about this on Instagram, I bought one of their kits to give it a try. I’m really glad I did because this self tanner is almost perfect! I love how smooth and natural the color looks on me.
The smell is a million times better than just about any other self tanner I’ve ever tried. It’s a really good “beach vacation” smell. I love it. I also like how easy this is to apply. It’s very think, so just a little bit covers a pretty big area.
It doesn’t have any guide color, so you have to be a little careful when applying. I’ve been using self tanners for over a decade so this isn’t a big deal for me. The upside is it doesn’t get on my towels or bedsheets.
Great self tanner overall and I plan to repurchase.

I can honestly say this was one of the WORST self tanners I’ve ever used. I applied the product on exfoliated skin and woke up ORANGE with black elbows and inner elbows. I have been using self tanner for 10+ years so I am not by any means a newbie. I could not believe the results of this product the next day. I had no choice but to call out of work so that I could spend half my day soaking in a bath tub and exfoliating this garbage off my skin. I will NEVER purchase this EVER again. Run, fast from this product. The reviews MUST be fake or paid as there is NO WAY this product is good.

Love this self tanner! I actually use the dark shade most of the year, but I do use this in the winter when I want just a light glow. This smells so good versus that nasty smell most self tanners give off!
I also like how easy and non-messy this is to apply. It doesn’t have any color guard, so you have to be careful applying it. But the upside of that is you don’t look like you’e been rolling around in mud all day. And it doesn’t come off on my bathroom towels or sheets. Yay!!

I had really good luck with this self tanner. I’m new to self tanning so I decided to try a lighter shade product. It seems like everyone online recommends this brand. When I opened this, I loved the smell. It’s a very coconut/tropical scent that smells so good. It applied very easily and was a snap to blend.
I left it on overnight, and the next morning I had a very natural-looking tan glow. It wasn’t super dark or anything, but that’s exactly what I wanted. It lasted about 5 days before I decided to re-apply.
Once summer gets in full-swing, I’m going to try their Dark and Ultra Dark shades. Gotta be ready for those pool parties!!

This my my favorite self tanner of all time! I use the dark shade for my body and the light shade for difficult areas like my feet and elbows. That works like a charm. I love the smell of tanceuticals and the natural color it gives me. Everyone at work thinks I lay out all the time, asking me how I’m always so tan haha. This is just a great product all around.

After seeing all the positive reviews everywhere, I decided I HAD to give this a try. And I’m happy to report I’m glad I did! I started self tanning about 5 years ago because my dermatologist warned me about skin cancer. Liek most people, I’ve used just about every brand out there (st. tropez, bondi sands, cocoa brown, jergens, etc). After using Tanceuticals a few times, I’ve got to say it’s my favorite by far. Why? Here’s what I like about it.
Color– The color this gives me is amazing. It’s extremely natural-looking and very believable. Which is important to me because I’m fairly pale to begin with, about a 3 out of 10.
Smoothness– For me, the color is very smoth and not streaky at all. I’ve found it takes a bit of trial-and-error to get smooth color across all parts of my body. For drier areas, I mixed some of my moisturizer in with the Tanceuticals. That worked like a charm.
Application- Putting this one on is easy, but you have to pay attention to where you’re putting it (duh). It doesn’t have a color guard, which I realy prefer. That way, I donlt look like I’m covered in black il after I’m done pallying! Also, it dosnlt get on my sheets or clothes. Which I really like as most self tanners end up on my white bedsheets.
Smell– As everyone says, the smell is to die for!! It’s a beachy, coconut smel that is just sop yumy, I almost want to eat it haha. It doesn;t have that “self tanner” smell that many others do. It’s seriously the best mselling elf tanner I’ve ever used (and that includes spray tans).
Great Ingredients– Sometimes I look at the ingredients on self tanners, and I can’t beleive what’s in there. With Tanceuticals, it’s got a lot of great things like acai berry, cocoa butter, argan oil and things like that. I’m sure hat’s why my skin always feels so smooth after using it.
Cruelty-Free– I love this! Their company is certified by PETA as cruelty-free (I looked it up and found them on the PETA website). That’s imoprtant to me becasue I love animals, espcecially dogs 🙂
So that’s a rundown of why I love Tanceuticals. It really is the best self tanner out there for my skin.

Fellow Aussies!!! STOP!!!
This is literally the same product as ModelCo Instant Tan Lotion. A product you can purchase for as little as $15 at chemist warehouse.
The smell, the results, the ingredients (actually better in the ModelCo tan) are almost identical. The coconut fragrance in Tanceuticals is horrid. The synthetic smell is nauseating and becomes stronger and very prominent of the DHA ingredient after 2-3 hours.
The feeling of the lotion on my skin was awful. I used a tanning mitt and used as much as I thought was necessary per body part. This stuff felt sticky for hours. And when I say ‘hours’, I mean until I went to bed and found that my body parts were sticking together. Literally sticking together and pulling apart with an audible rip. It was that unbearable and uncomfortable night’s sleep.
The next morning my tan looked like a typical 2005 spray tan. A solid colour… however, the wrong colour. Orange. Fake. Synthetic. Just like the smell. Truly awful!
The tan, very unfortunately, started to go scaly and patchy after 3-4 days and it looked diseased. There were cracks all over my body, moreso on the visible parts like my neck and the creases of my arms and people commented on it, saying “what is wrong with your skin. You look like a 70 year old!”
The “no colour guard” feature is both a blessing and curse. Yes you don’t have to be overly cautious applying the product and then afterwards be fearful of staining your bed sheets or clothes. However it makes it so much more difficult knowing where you’ve applied it, subsequently leaving you with either pale white patches that have been missed and/or patches of dark orange on the areas you’ve accidentally gone over numerous times. This is where ModelCo wins again. It has a visible colour guide that looks solid, natural and brown!
The price. The postage. The time it took to get to my Aussie front door. NOT WORTH IT. Australians… We have a better option. Albeit it’s a very average product, ModelCo Lotion is a more affordable and honestly gives you a better result than this ridiculous product.
Overall… 1/5 in my books. Hopefully this helps any Australian tanners who are curious or contemplating purchasing this product.

I’m very pale naturally and this gave me a really nice glow. Not too dark and definitely not orange-y. Love that it’s easy to apply and good for your skin.
