If you’ve ever read any of my reviews you will know I hardly ever give one lippie, something really has to be that bad for me to…well here’s one. I got this in the ‘medium shimmer’ in one of those bargain bins, it cost literally next to nothing – the only good thing about it. The tube states ‘transfer resistant’ and that’s no exaggeration! I could not wash this off my hands at all, it just would not shift. Had to go out and about with my dark-stained hands for the next 2 days. The coverage for what it’s worth was ok, but the shimmer particles are not at all subtle, almost like someone decided to mix a bunch of confetti in here, and the fragrance….? Like an Estee Lauder perfume bottle that you discovered in an old closet from decades ago that hasn’t stored well! Yes this is pretty much what you’re going to smell like whilst this is applied, just pray that A) You don’t cross anyone’s path (or rather they don’t cross yours) and B) That it doesn’t rain, even slightly because this stuff will streak and run down your arms to stain whatever is in its path, in the meantime you end up looking not so cool! Never again!

I’m giving it 2 stars rather than one mainly because it’s cheap. I bought this to use on my body instead of st tropez wash off tan which is a lot more expensive. However I’ll be sticking to the st tropez which is infinitely better. This one has a decent colour, to be fair, not as nice as the ST but it’s fine, a tiny bit more orange but no problem really. What lets it down is that it’s hard to blend, whereas the ST is a cinch. It’s more dense and stodgy so it takes a lot more effort to get right. Again, for the price difference I guess this is something I’d come to accept. What I cannot accept is that it runs very easily. I wore this on a hot day and I admit I “glowed”, causing me to realise with horror that I suddenly had some brown patch on my top! It looked like foundation and was embarrassing. I wet it with water and it was easily removed, but that just shows how fleeting it is. It is good if you’re on a budget and can work around or tolerate these shortcomings. But personally I’d rather spend more and be safe in the knowledge that if it does rain or if it does get hot, nothing will happen to betray that I’m using cheapie stuff. Having foundation smudges or fake tan smudges is the quickest way to look cheap and nasty, imo! I think I’ll keep this so it’s not totally destined to be angrily thrown in the bin as with most fails, but I’ll be very surreptitious in my usage of it. I’ll never be able to use it on days I go to the gym, nor on rainy days nor on sunny days. But if a day comes along which is mild and I don’t have any strenuous plans, perhaps for that day, this will sparingly be applied. Oh another drawback is that unlike the ST or Sally Hansen et al, this doesn’t leave a nice powdery satin look to the leg, it just gives colour but no improvement in texture. It may look a bit glowy and it will look tan, but it won’t help scars or marks etc. All in all I hope I’ll still get some, albeit limited, use out of this. I wouldn’t recommend it though.

If you have an acne-prone skin,i dont recommend this product. OK everything about this product is beautiful, it gives really natural brown color instantly. Your skin looks natural and soft. It is cheap. It smells good. buuut after i used it twice,it really clogged my pores and i had lots of whiteheads and acnes unfortunately:( if u have an oily or acne prone skin be careful when using it. maybe you can try it only small area of your face first,i dont know

For what this is, and its price its VERY good. Only thing with it though, is its staying power. If you spill a bit of drink on yourself it INSTANTLY smudges and leaves a streaky looking mess! BUT its good value and I would re-purchase! x

I am liking this gel. It has a very siliconey consistency which really helps to spread evenly without dragging on dry patches of skin. The colour is very subtle, real looking and has a glow to it. I would buy this again.

Yes I WOULD buy this if I could find it. A quick, real looking tan you pop on for the day. No rub off, super real colour.Makes skins look better as it has a subtle shimmer.so you glow. Where oh where are you Rimmel for summer 2011?

i hate this product it smells like biscuits and made my knees go black (not a good look) it also comes off soon as a drip of water hits your skin im honestly not a fan………..i would probably wear this over the top of a spray tan if i wanted to look a little darker but i can defo live without this

I got this Product through a SuperDrug Summer Sampler.
So i did not pay for this Product i got it sent too me.
I used it the other day on my Legs without a glove and i stained my hands a little but quickly washed off. Better to be used with Gloves i reckon. I had been sent the (Dark) one, and i thought great, its going to be way too dark, But it was Perfect. It gave me the best looking Tan ever.. So Glad! Oviously its wash off one so i wouldnt go out in it in the rain or i would avoid it, incase it ran off. But it never streaked at all, all over great coverage.. And im quite Normal/Medium toned skinned. So Dark was perfect for me.. Would definatly buy again.
