I am surprised of the negative reviews here. This product does wonders for my body. I am in the NC30 zone, maybe not as yellow, but this product creates the perfect shade of tan for me. I used two towelettes for my face and body together. My face may not look as good but my body looks even and golden. I use St. Tropez Tinted Moisturizer and Primer for my face because I get better results.

I’ve tried these twice so far and both times delivered a very uneven and streaky tan. I tried to apply very slowly and evenly, but i guess i missed some spots. it’s very hard to tell what you missed (especially on legs and behind legs/butt/back) because it dries fast and goes on clear. My ankles/feet look very dark, eventho i tried to apply sparingly in that area.
The color is nice (i’m fair skinned and used medium shade) – but the application is challenging. It has a strong DHA scent.
If anyone any tips on how to make the application better, please please let me know!
I wiped it on in folded squares. Should I open the whole thing and wipe it one that way? Should i wipe it like it’s lotion and be more aggressive/generous? I might be trying to be too light handed.
My arms and chest look fine. My legs, ankles, stomach look the worst. My husband did my back and he says it’s fine.
I normally use an Ulta spray tan and wipe it on my skin with a mitt. The mitt helps A LOT because you can rub with pressure. You can’t rub with pressure with these wipes, they are too wet, soaked with tanner. The mit/spray technique has worked much better for me.

This was my first time EVER using a self tanning product. Although I love the tanned color it gave me, I only had one towelette (from a Target Beauty Box) for my entire body and face. I got a couple of streaks on my leg and the underside of my arms weren’t fully covered since I only had one towelette. That aside, I think I have to RUN to the store to get a box & cover up my mistakes.

If I could give this 10 lippies I would. I’ve been using this for years and it’s wonderful. It goes on smoothly and evenly. No spray to get all over wallpaper/walls, no mousse to make you look fake. This just gives me a ‘natural’ looking tan/color. You don’t see it right away…give it a while and you won’t be disappointed. I would suggest one for the face/upper body/arms and another for thighs and legs/feet. Perfection.

L’Oreal Sublime Bronze is among the best if not the best self-tanner line out there. (Maybe 2nd to Lancome, its parent company). I use these towelettes as well as the gel in the bottle, but rely mostly on the towelettes for the ease of use. I probably look like a lunatic buying three boxes at a time at Walmart (where it is the cheapest!) but I can’t risk being without it in the summer months! Honestly, people get so worried about self-tanner, you can easily psych yourself out about streakiness. Stop worrying. Don’t be too precious about it. Just unfold one of these babies and get to work rubbing it all over every inch of exposed skin, going over and over and being really thorough. The beauty of the towelette is that there is not enough product in the towelette to overdo it and produce a horrifying result. (Unless you for example do one arm and completely forget to do another arm, in which case, yeah.) I spend about 3 or 4 minutes rubbing the towelette on my skin. I am pasty white and use this every summer religiously, and I get non-stop compliments about my tan. I would do it year round but I am not that motivated. The inevitable chemical smell is there after about 15 minutes, but that’s life. I could go on and on but I won’t. If you hate the idea of self-tanner then this is not a miracle that will change your life, but is this pretty much the best out there? Yes ma’am.

This was great for a Florida vacation that was cold and rainy. Used these every other day. Pleasant smell – not like other self tanners and also dried quickly. Color came thru in about an hour. Not that long lasting as it seems to be fading quickly now that I’m back home. But def served the purpose of tanning my face, chest, arms and legs so I was not a ghost to go out in short sleeves, capris and sandals. I put regular lotion on first, then the tan towel. Just seems to blend better.

I bought these recently before a winter trip to the Caribbean. I am really paranoid about adding self tanner to my face b/c I’m so pale. But I have to say I was very happy with these! I used one towelette for my face and upper body and then one for my legs. Definitely don’t think you could use 1 for your entire body.
The application was very easy for me – it dried really fast. I didn’t experience and streaking or orangeyness like some people said. I did shower and exfoliate really well before applying though.
I will definitely keep these in my arsenal!

Bottom line: awesome ST when applied the right way … 1. Shower/shave 2.EXFOLIATE everywhere 3. Apply moisturizer on elbows, knees, ankles. 4. Open one towelette (you will most likely need two if tanning whole body) 5. DO not unfold towellete, unfold as you go along towel dries quick otherwise. 6. Stand in front of a mirror, start at top of thigh and go down to knee area, then start lower half of leg. Continue with other leg same way. Then work up your body in sections focusing on one areas at a time, and you won’t miss a spot if you keep looking in the mirror. 7. Wash hands after 8. If you have to touch up, do so. My tan came out golden bronze, very even and not streaky even being a first timer. Every self tanner smells, lets be real here! Will be using again. Happy sunless tanning.

I’ve tried this a few times now, and was a bit dissapointed
Even when putting in your best effort to rub the towelettes in a circular motion and covering all areas evenly – it just doesn’t turn up even. You don’t see the color form for a good 15-20 minutes and I am often left with streaks on my legs or patches that don’t show up with any color for some reason – perhaps the towel was drier than it seemed going on?
I had no problems with how it went on my face, neck, and arms as much, but despite a few tries I don’t think it’s possible to get a completely even color. It faded decently and lasted about 5-7 days.
I would recommend this to someone looking to get a quick tan on their face, neck and arms for going out, but not for an even tan to go out in a bikini
Edit:: I agree that they dry quickly, I end up using two per use to get more even results but would still not recommend

First, let me admit that I have only just applied this 15 minutes ago, so I have no idea how the tan is going to turn out. I just have to add really quick that this is one of THE STRONGEST SMELLING tanners I ever tried. The smell is so powerful that it’s already giving me a headache and even making me nauseous. Even if this gives me the best looking legs in the world, there’s no way I would sit through this smell again.
**Update: I took this down to an overall rating of 1 because after developing for 24 hours, this tanner looks awful. It’s quite orange, and VERY streaky, the streakiest I’ve ever experienced. Also, after thoroughly washing my legs today, I swear I can still smell it. That smell is just killer. And now I’ll have to go for several days wearing long pants to hide the stripes it gave me. Definitely avoid this one.
