I love this product. It’s even better than the overnight one because I get to wash it off within a few hours. The full colour shows up within 8 hours but it’s great for when you need a same day tan. The colour looks very natural and not orange in any way. The mitt is a must. Don’t bother applying it without it. You get a very even application with it.I wouldn’t use any other self tanner frankly.

I hate waiting for 8 hours to wash the self tan off with this you only have to wait for 3 hours max but depending on the color you want you could already wash it off after one hour. I use two layers because otherwise I don’t find it dark enough on my skintone (nc30) I blow dry my skin in between layers and wait for 3 hours before showering it off. The tan will last about a week with this method and it fades evenly. The cons: it’s sticky and it can stain my feet, but I mix the mousse with a little bodylotion to do my feet to prevent it as much as possible. I already repurchased, this is not my “HG” but I will continue to use this untill I find something better!

Had a Banana Boat Self Tanning Lotion mess! Was left patchy and orange, granted it was my first self tanning experience ever. I was recommended this at Ulta to help even everything out. I liked the thought of it washing off within 3 hours as I religiously take night showers and can’t stand showering in the morning and taking forever to get ready for my day. The product itself is very airy and light and when applied with the Ulta Beauty Dual Sided Self Tanning Mitt which is cheaper than the St. Tropez one (which I have never tried before) I get a smooth finish with no streaks. It developed into a wonderful medium tan shade which isn’t as dark as I expected but it did cover my orange mess really well. I also used a Real Techniques Flawless Face Foundation Brush to apply a bit to my face/neck and afterwards my face was smooth, even and not the least bit irritated or broken out. I have naturally light skin despite being Hispanic (living in Alaska doesn’t help at all!) and this looked so beautiful as well as very natural. I get my back tanned by using a back lotion applicator from Wal-Mart that you can get by the loofahs and bath sponges. Very impressed and I now fully believe that when it comes to the self tanning world definitely go more expensive as the quality and color will be much better. A great alternative to the sun for someone like me who burns to a crisp within 5 minutes.

I usually use the dark st tropez mousse but thought I’d give this one a go instead. I think I actually prefer it if need to use once more to decide for sure. It says you leave on 1 hour for light tan, 2 for medium, 3 dark.
I’ve read a lot of reviews that claim that this product is less sticky than the original/dark, when I applied it was sticky for first ten minutes then was fine. It applied well and has a nicer lighter fragrance. I watched a YouTube video with a woman from st tropez demonstrating this product and she said that after 3 hours it cuts off so if you need to leave on longer it won’t look bad and you’d look the same as if left on 3 hours. I left on overnight (8hours) and I found myself to be a bit orange compared to if I left the dark mouse on which makes me look more bronze. I’m 3 days into wearing it and it still had a great colour, still a little on the orange side but I do like to be dark so I’m not too fussed. I have no streaks or patches even after several baths and exfoliating. I will be trying it again sticking to the 3 hours I’m supposed to and will update if the outcome changes.
UPDATE: It faded nicely so applied a second coat after a few days… BIGGEST mistake. Only left second coat on for 2 hours but it made me orange and patchy. Was impossible to remove for two weeks. I tried every removal technique found online. Nothing worked!

This is a really great invention, because I hate the long waiting time for usual selftanners to develop (about 8hours) and I really dislike sleeping coated in selftanner. And on top of that, I even like the result better than the normal tanning mousse by St. Tropez. It seems to stay even for a longer time and my skin doesn´t get so dry. The day after the application I can definitely detect a faint smell of stale biscuits, that typical selftanner-odour. But it´s not too intense and gone the day after. Would definitely buy again!

I have tried a lot of tanners. Pretty much every one on the market. St Tropez is, in my opinion, the best. However, I prefer the classic Mousse over the Express because I found the Express to wear less well, in that it seemed to ‘chip’ off more quickly/get more patchy faster if not taken care of, ie exfoliated off. I think it’s a fair trade off for the much shorter development time, but I prefer their classic mousse.

I Really enjoy this one, it’s so nice to be able to wash it of after 3 hours and be done! I hate sleeping with self tanners on… So this is great for me! On me the color looks really nice and natural, never gets streaky or blotchy.. It’s sticky so I put on a long sleeve and long leg pj and just wait for the 3 hours to pass… The smell isn’t so nice, I find I have to shower 2 times to get rid of the fake tan smell, but I have repurchased and I will continue to use this express mousse 👌ðŸ»

Not worth the price. I hated the mitt. I felt like it soaked up so much of the product. It also got all over my clothes and stained them. I would rather stick with the Eco Tan invisible tan. Eco Tan it isn’t as dark, but it looks natural, fades evenly, and works better. I also hate all of the chemicals and dyes in these tanners.

Got my hands on the last one at Sephors.
Ive used all drugstore self tanners and this is definitely worth the price.
Dries fast but leaves a stickinesss. I leave it on till my nightime shower and even after 3 hours its just a med tan. Not dark like they say. Its flawless, smooth, looks natural.
The mitt is 7$ couldnt they just give it for free! Lol. So worth it though i will always use this product i love it!
Btw it smells GREAT at application but eventually just smells like dha.

Not the HG I hoped for. I find this formula very sticky and it does color my sheets and clothing. I find having to shower twice to remove the sticky color guard a real inconvenience. The color payoff is nice and natural looking but I would not repurchase. Very disappointed.
