The color of this tanner looks natural on my light skin. I like how easy it is to apply. I use an old sock doubled up over my hand and smooth it all over. It goes on easy like a moisturizer and makes my skin soft. I haven’t had any trouble with patchiness or making my ankles/knees/elbows too dark or tanned. It is the most natural looking on my feet that I have found too! It doesn’t turn my toes extra brown! I like how quick it is to apply and seems to dry faster than other tanners I’ve tried like St. Tropez and Toma’s. I haven’t tried it on my face so I cannot speak to how it looks other than on the body. The only gripe I have about this tanner is the way it fades. After about a week or so it comes of in patches and makes my skin look like its dirty. I definitely hate the way it wears off. With a good scrub you can get it off and reapply a layer to fix the patchiness. Otherwise, I really like this tanner. It’s the most natural looking for me and one application is noticeable and lasts about 7 days.

I used the one for face. Not very happy. It came out patchy and uneven no matter how much I exfoliated. The color is nice on the body but looks really bad on my face. It looks as I am dealing with an incurable disease. Not recommended!

Love the color I get from BE Faux tan, It is a nice warm brown, no orange at all. I used this for a tan for my wedding I was worried about color transfering to my white dress, if I perspired while dancing, totally and completely happy to say absolutely no transfer and I had a beautiful golden glow for my pictures. I am now a huge fan of both the body and face Faux tan.

Hands down best self tanner I’ve ever used, and I’ve tried a LOT. I’m on the pale side and it makes my skin look perfectly sunkissed and brown.
It is pretty expensive, ($40 on QVC) but it’s actually, and I don’t say this lightly, but it’s actually worth it. The bottle is huge, and lasts forever. My favorite part of this tanner is the ability to stay on after a swim in a chlorine pool. Every single self tanner I’ve ever used has come off when swimming in a chlorine pool. Showing up brown at a friends house, and coming out of the pool white is rather embarrassing. I can swim all day and come out with most of the color I went in with. It’s pretty amazing. I will definetely be repurchasing!

I like this a lot. Nice, even brown color and no streaking. A little expensive, but better than a cheap product that leaves uneven color or smells bad. Big plus – it doesn’t make my face break out like a lot of other brands.

I bought this on QVC in the larger bottle that came with the brush. I was really excited to try this product because I trust Bare Escentuals and a few people on YouTube went on about how natural the color was. The dark brown color of the tanner only assured me more that this would not turn me orange. But, when I actually tried it out, I was okay with the results – enough to keep using it till I found something better – but overall I found myself feeling pretty disappointed. I’ll start with the pros. The color is definitely not orange. Because the gel is so dark, you get a pretty good idea of what the tan is going to look like after it develops. It does get gradually darker after the next couple of hours, but nothing too dramatic. However, having a neutral/slightly pinker undertone (I’m about an NW25) the color can be slightly too yellow on me, making me look jaundiced and ashy. The tan fades nicely into my skin after a few days, but it’s still definitely a turn off. Another pro is that the color does fade nicely after about 4 days and doesn’t go patchy on me. Now onto the cons! For me, the application is far from easy. The little brush on QVC was a bad idea. You would think it would make the application more precise, but it’s exhausting using that on my entire body (my wimpy arms get tired!) and I find it can definitely leave me with streaks, especially on the arms. I tried it again with a mitt, but the results weren’t too much better. This is such an easy product to make mistakes with because when the color develops and deepens, you notice them getting much darker in patches, especially around the arms, hands, and chest. And I’m careful about making sure to really rub the product in. And, the next morning, when I think the tan has soaked in, I will take a shower and notice a brown tint to the water washing down the drain. So, I really think the cons weigh out the pros. Every once in a while I luck out and get really great results with this, usually on the 3rd day or so. However, on the days before that, I just end up hating the way it looks, and have to resist the attempt to exfoliate my whole body!

I’ve had mixed feelings about this tanner. I love the olive undertone it gives and it’s always super even when I apply it with a mitt. Only downside is it’s not much of a “tan” for me. When I’m very pale (like NC25ish) it gives a decent glow but it’s not enough color for me even when I later it. I love it and anyone who’s very pale will adore this but for me it’s more of a winter tanner.

Bought the newer packaging of this with the pump dispenser and it’s much easier to apply.
Pros:
– Not as expensive as other high-end sunless tanners.
– The tint shows you where the tanner goes but is not so overwhelming that you couldn’t wear it in public if you wanted (though I usually apply before bed anyway.)
– The color is very natural looking once the guide color is rinsed off, not streaky at all when applied correctly (use a mitt or a sock to apply)
– Fades evenly without looking patchy and weird
Cons:
– The color is NOT buildable. I tried to apply it two days in a row to build up color and it looked great at first, then turned patchy scaly after showering.
– Pass this one up if you’re looking for a drastic difference overnight; it only darkens me maybe one shade once the guide rinsed away

Originally I liked this better than St tropez bc the color was a bit deeper and more on the red side than olive if that makes sense. anyways, the application is such a pain. I have applied with a sponge mitt and with gloves to no avail. I do small sections but it dries so quick. I had to start mixing it with a moisturizer to get it to blend and sometimes it still looks blotchy and then after a few consecutive applications it starts too look good. i’m nw20 for reference. I will probably not repurchase.

I used a st. Tropez mitt to apply this. It’s a nice dark color so you can see where you’ve applied it. When it dries you can actually go out and it doesn’t stain your clothes. The color does develop over time. Overnight I ended up 3 shades darker. You do need to exfoliate first and moisturize so you don’t end up with dark knees and elbows. There is a strong dha smell but it does go away after you shower. Even with regular showers and swimming in a pool the color lasted almost a week on me and faded evenly. It’s also cheaper than other high end brands. I would definitely buy it again.
