   First, I’m asian and I’m pale. I have used self tanners from Clarins Avene Sephora and this brand. And I can say the best are Sephora Mist and this product. In my opinion, among these 2, I vote Sephora as the best because it gives me a darker tan than St Tropez and it also lasts longer (for abt 1 week), which is what I look for in a self tanner. This St Tropez product has great smell, leaves absolutely no streaks, and that’s it. After u take the first shower, most of the tan will b washed off and u lr left w a very light tan. In fact, I tried to apply on 2 days on a row but the tan looks still the same, very very light. A nice product but doesn’t meet what I expect compared to the price I pay.

   Best self tanner I ever tried. I used to use drugstore tanners that all left me orange. This one looks so natural, it blows me away. I have olive undertones and this does not make me orange. It doesn’t have a bad smell and it is also non sticky! I can wear clothes after I apply which I never could with cheaper tanners. I actually sleep overnight with this on and find it really gives the best color when I do that. I also bought a cheap tanning mitt from Ulta that works well with this. I love everything about it and the only downside I can find is the expensive price. But it is worth it to me because of the confidence it makes me feel.

   Ah, St. Tropez. I avoided you for years, thinking I didn’t need to splash out the cash. Well, this mousse is not one of life’s necessities, but it is a gem of a self tanner. Dang it 😛

   Applies evenly (with regular tanning mitt on body, tiny mitt on face, foundation brush on hands/feet), doesn’t smell much upon application. The color…it is really nice, very natural looking. I am fair, usually one of the lightest foundation shades. This gives lovely,realistic, brown-ish tan. Overnight. Even on my face. Love.

   Cons: price (of course) and smell. The smell is not noticeable during application, but as the tan/dha sets into the skin, it has the usual self tanner smell. It’s not overwhelmingly strong, but you can’t miss it, either. The color guard gets all over my sheets but comes out in the wash.

   Again, in summation: will repurchase, use a mitt, use an old sheet folded in half to sleep in (I call it my self tan taco sheet), apply at night so you can sleep through the eventual smell. Be prepared to see the color guard go down the drain, but don’t despair because you remain bronzed and goddess-like 🙂

   Love this stuff. Its the only self-tanner I’ve found that leaves me a natural brown…not a hint of orange, and makes even my pasty white legs look realistically tan. I have vitiligo…so much that I can’t possibly avoid them. Usually they turn a vivid orange with a self-tanner, but this actually makes them blend in with the rest of my skin. You can still see them of course, but they are just a lighter shade of brown which I love. Color develops over the first 24 hours, lasts a full week even showering daily, and wears off evenly without patches. The scent is slightly self-tannerish, not as terrible as some but the scent last all day that first day. It is a drier mousse texture so some things that are a must when using this…
   -use exfoliating gloves before application.
   -put a light lotion on bony parts like ankles, elbows, collar bones, and feet
   -use the mitt for application. I was completely unsuccessful using this without the mitt…ended up a streaky mess. The mitt ensures a seamless, streak-free application. Rub and rub and rub. Once application is complete I go over my entire body lightly again with the mitt, like a light sanding to make sure its streak-free.
   -apply to one body part at a time…thoroughly and completely. Really take your time to smooth it on.
   -allow to dry a full half hour. I use my blow dryer to go over everything to make sure its super dry before getting dressed. The only thing the color rubs off on is my bra and only the first day, so I wear a black one day 1. After that there’s no transfer. I don’t use lotion either until after my next shower.
   Overall the application process is a pain, but the results are awesome.

   thought it was awful, color payoff was next to nothing, patchy as heck when it was fading, and made my pores stand out, and I have tiny pores. I’ll stick with my tried and true. I wasn’t happy with any of the St. Tropez products with the exception of the one they discontinued.

   I FREAKING LOVE ALL ST TROPEZ PRODUCTS!!!!
   The end result is NEVER orange or green (cough cough Bondi Sands), instead it’s a beautiful bronzey tan that looks real!

   If you’re pale or new to tanning, I recommend their gradual in shower tanning lotion – no streaks, 100% buildable and it looks great!

   I have that, their express tan and bronzing mousse. Their products are about $40 each, so definitely a bit pricey but it is totally worth it!!!

   PLEASE GIVE IT A GO, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!

   This is easy to apply if you use the brush, and it doesn’t smell as strong as some. It’s not drugstore cheap but it’s also not crazy expensive. I think it gives a natural glow that isn’t orangy and is a good bang for your buck.

   I think compared to the St. Tropez Express Mousse and the Clarins Selftanner, this product does an ok job, but doesn´t compare too well. This tan fades much patchierthan the other two, and even though I moisturizer every single day, my skin gets very dry whenever I use this. It´s not a bad product, but for me, I´m glad I found better alternatives.

   Best tanner ive used so far. Literally looks like youve just come back from spain on holiday. Smells soooo good and isnt streaking AT ALL. Blends like a dream, isnt sticky or dry.

    Being a little lazy and reviewing 3 self-tanners at once (I only do my legs and always prepare by exfoliating and moisturizing many hours in advance and apply tanner at night a couple of hours before bed). I’ve used the 3 below at least 4 times each:

    Fake Bake Flawless Self Tan Liquid – No
    Best applied with Mitt
    Pros: Dries quickly, best smell of all
    Cons: Streaky, patchy, messy.Color guide is too dark.Color doesn’t matter if it’s not even! Only lasts 2 days or so. Even though it dries quickly still can get weird areas (bend behind knees or ankles) before next morning rinse.

    St. Tropez Bronzing Mousse – Yes
    Best applied with Mitt
    Pros: Even, nice color, Dries ok. Lasts a good 4 days before fading evenly.
    Cons: Doesn’t smell that great but goes away after rinsing with water in morning.

    St. Tropez Everyday Gradual Tan Body Lotion – Yes
    Pros: Even, nice color, can apply with just disposable gloves and not mitt. Lasts a couple of days and reapplication doesn’t make it too dark or streaky. Smells alright.
    Cons: With use about every 3 days, can get a little yellow-y but not bad. Slower drying but no color guide so staining not as much of an issue.
