The one that I am using is for face and body both. I am praying that Sephora does not discontinue this product because within a past, I have used a lot of brands and they did not do a great job. L’Oreal towelettes were the closest to my favorite. This product is incredible. No odor. Great dark color even from Light to Medium. Does not transfer. I wore white right after one minute of application. Spreads well and does not look patchy. You need to rub it to your body. The color is not orange and looks as I have sat in a Carribean beach under the sun for months. And the price is just awesome. I bought this for $19. Compared to Chanel and other high end brands that do not come remotely close to the great performance of this product, I am highly impressed. For the records, I am NC30 and do not tan easily.

Distributes very nice and evenly all over (that is if you use it right). As you spray it has a hint of bronze so you can see where you apply it exactly (no funny zebra lines). Within an hour or two the color deepens giving you a really natural looking tan. Has somewhat strong ish smell to it (as in flowery perfume) not chemical smell so I wouldn’t spray in on with doors closed, other than that absolutely excellent self tanner!

Sorry I have to rain on the positive parade but I don’t get why this is so well liked. I bought two cans at $17 CAD based on the good reviews. I’ve tried to use this about 6 times and just can’t get it right.
First, the ‘mist’ gets right up in my nose and stays there. I can’t stand it. It doesn’t smell bad but it does smell chemically and I feel like I need a friggin’ gas mask to use this. Second, the ‘tint’ doesn’t really show up very well. I can’t tell where I’ve rubbed it in.
I’ve tried using this a couple ways. As an airbrush (using the can from further away and letting it just mist my legs like the L’Oreal one – which I love btw) but this doesn’t provide much colour. Just tans my bathtub, really. I’ve tried using it as directed, spraying from 5″ and rubbing in with my hands, but I get barely any colour. I’ve used more and more but the colour just isn’t showing up that much.
The only positive thing here is the colour that does show up is brown and not the least bit orange on me. And it dries super fast. But meh. Too much work and not enough results.
Update: Okay, I increased it by one lippie because I tried a different approach today and it actually worked a lot better. I drenched my legs in and then rubbed it in and I can actually see some colour now. It’s quite a nice colour too, but still can’t get past the scent sitting at the back of my throat. Gross.

I believe the words in the name of the product have been rearranged to now read Sephora Collection Tinted Self-Tanning Body Mist. The ingredients were also changed. The new formula is the best I have ever used. The product dries in 10 seconds and has minimal scent. I get deep dark color with 1 application.
I have tested clarins, tan towel, st tropes and will only be repurchasing the $14 Sephora
I used on my face and had no break out problems even though my skin is very acne prone.

definetly the best color i’ve ever gotten from a self tanner. its pretty natural looking..and it fades evenly! the only problem i had when i first applied it was controlling the spray flow. i ended up rubbing the liquid in (quickly b/c it dries so fast) b/c i was paranoid that it would streak. my feet the next morning looked a little orangy but i showered and scrubbed them, and then the orange was gone. it says its tinted, but don’t believe them. the only way you can tell that you’ve sprayed there before is if your skin is a little sticky in that spot, and you can sort of see a glimmer. but there’s definelty no color to be seen.
EDIT: so i’ve used this a few times now…its really hard to get used to the spray. you want to just spray a little but then sometimes you get a really hard stream and then you have to rub it in very quickly b/c i dries so fast. also, i’ve noticed some uneven fading on my legs. not terrible, but kind of splotchy. not sure if i’ll keep using this b/c i dont think i could ever get used to the spray bottle

I first tried this instore, just spraying it on my arms with my short sleeves rolled up to my shoulders. The mist of this is so incredibly fine and it was really easy to spray. I also did the tops of my hands. The mist was fine so I didn’t think it was necessary to go back and blend with my hands. I think if you sprayed too close to the skin you might end up with some oversaturation so spray at least 6 inches away. The product seemed to dry pretty quickly and I did go back one more time to give it another “coat”. Their is a little bronzer in it to see where you’re putting it but its not a really dark obnoxious bronzer. The scent was not unpleasant at all. It smelled of the Monoi that was in it. After many hours later examining the color after it developed, I am stunned at how beautiful and realistic the result was. Not only is it a TRUE TAN COLOR AND NOT ORANGE, I had ZERO streaking, no stained palms and even the tops of my hands looked completely even and natural and NOT like I put self tanner on them. I didn’t quite get the application even some parts of the backs of my arms didn’t end up as dark as some but even still, it wasn’t that obvious STREAKED look where you see lines of demarkation. I think either another mist on those areas or a pass over it with some Jergens Body Glow will take care of it.
My cons of the product is for a body product, the can is not big enough. I will end up going through this can quickly. I would rather pay more and have a bigger can that will last longer than have to purchase several aerosol cans. Also, the next morning, I did have that gross DHA smell on my skin but I’m certain that after a shower that will go away. I think thats something you’ll get no matter what product you use.
I haven’t yet used it on the rest of my body so I can’t speak to how well it will spray upside down on my back or how evenly I will get it on my legs or feet (which tends to be more of a challenge than the arms). I am very fair and I got a nice realistic 3 shades darker.
I think if you use this in conjunction with a nice progressive color lotion like Jergens you would get a very nice result. So far, couldn’t be happier! Seeing as I am so fair, I don’t tend to even use self tanners because of the pain and the process it takes but this was very fool proof!
