This was $32 at Ulta and I just returned it. I think this would be good for very fair individuals, but for my medium tone skin (NC30/35), I got no color pay off. Absolutely none. I tried it on two separate occasions – the first leaving it on 3 hrs as the directions state and then the next time, leaving it on overnight. I maybe got 1/4 shade darker. Additionally, the second ingredient of this product is SD alcohol and it dried my skin out HORRIBLY (and I don’t even have dry skin). The skin on the back of my hand was so dried out that a piece of skin chipped and CAME OFF and bled. I tried applying jojoba oil and other extremely moisturizing lotions all over my body and my skin still looked like a dried prune. Not to mention that the age spots I have which are fairly light, darkened to a deep brown. I had to buy a hydroquinone cream to fade my spots. This is the absolute WORST product I’ve ever used. I exchanged it today for the Ulta Express Golden Glow Tan ($12.99) and it made me 2 shades darker within 2 hours with no drying out of skin and no darkening of age spots. I’m so glad I returned the FakeBake and got my $32 back.

Really love this! I always leave on the full 3 hours then I just rinse, the water activates the second wave of tanning. So leaving it on longer than 3 hours, as I understand it will actually inhibit the tanning process.
It yeilds a light golden bronze on my fair pinky under toned skin, I love that I can rinse it before bed (for some reason self Tanner’s always make my skin feel tacky ????) I will repurchase ????

This is my favourite self tanning product- it’s really easy to apply and never leaves any streaks. I usually leave it on for 3 hours and it develops into a really lovely golden tan 🙂

I’m naturally light skinned but aged freckles tend to make me almost medium. Self tanner evens out my tone, and after reading the ingredients list, I decided to give it a whirl since the 4th or 5th ingredient (erythro- something) gives a subtler tan but lasts longer than dha. And for that, it’s a winner. 5 days later with no reapplications, and I had a little color still!
I have never followed the instructions about washing it off after 1-3 hours–I’ve only left it on overnight. Based on the reviews, I’m thinking that’s probably linked to the color depth attained. Application is one of easiest I used & the color is natural. Even my fingers look even and not the least bit fake. Happy, sunny day!

I love everything in this product apart of the smell and inability to put a normal clothes on while waiting. Everything gets smelly.
I have a medium skin with yellow undertones. I’m easily tanning at beach, my skin stays tan for a very long time. I live in tropics and use it in winter. I don’t understand why other users complain about how tan could you get from it, I get really dark deep tan. Okay, I usually sleep with it overnight 🙂 I find it way better than Flaweless.
If my husband won’t begged me to stop, I’ll still be using it. But he couldn’t stand the scent.
Pros:
– very even application
– very easy to apply (I don’t use the mitt, I apply it with gloves)
– no streaks
– no yellow anything. I love that applied color looks dark muddy green
Cons:
– smell
– application is easy, but messy for the floor (very easy to wash off)

I was bitterly disappointed with this product. I am a fan of fake bake flawless so I bought the 60 min tan in the hope that I could achieve similar colour in just three hours. Definitely wishful thinking! Firstly, I found the colour guide was too light on my skin and it was hard to tell where I was applying. Secondly, the liquid has a greenish tinge which made me look sickly for the three hours I was wearing it. After three hours of waiting, there was hardly any noticeable colour and I decided to wash it off before my partner came home and whinged about fake tan smell again, although I didn’t think the smell was particularly overpowering. I don’t know if the tan continued developing after I showered but the following morning, my boyfriend did comment that I looked a tad darker so it’s good to know it wasn’t a complete waste of time. If you’re looking for a subtle tan, there a cheaper products out there. The only plus I found was that the colour did not rub off on my clothes or my white lounge.

I tried really really hard to like this product and I still keep using it hoping for a change. I got it at Winners for $20 which wasn’t a bad price considering it’s usual $30+ online. I had high hopes for this and it really let me down. I already have colour on my skin from other tanners and I put this one on expecting it to make me darker but it hardly did anything and I even slept in it all night. I turned maybe a half a shade or a shade darker, but not the result I was expecting. The only thing I liked about it was the mitt because I never had used one before and the application was flawless. This product just sucked though.

I have been using fake tan for years now so I was very excited for a tan that only took an hour to develop! Here are my pros & cons:
Pros:
*Nice, tropical scent however it still does have a slight ‘fake tan’ smell. Very bearable. The best smelling fake tan I’ve had.
*You get a decent mitt with the tan.
Cons:
*Very expensive for a weak product.
*Sooooo messy! This is one major issue for me because the liquid is so watery & thin. It sprays everywhere & makes your floor stained & slippery.
*I am not a novice at tanning but the formula is so patchy in places. My hands, feet & face ended up orange yet in other places the colour was non existent.
*Sinks into any pores on your face & body, making you look dirty.
*Absolutely terrible to use on your face! If you have the slightest blemish, dry patch or mark on your face, this tanner will cling to it making you look like you’ve some rare disease.
*It is a LIE that this works in 60mins! I have pale skin & after an hour it was barely noticeable, apart from the odd orange patches. Many reviews have stated this problem aswell.
*Despite me slathering moisturiser on, this tan dries up my skin so bad.
Overall, an absolute waste of cash! I do like the Fake Bake brand but this is such a poor product. I recommend Cocoa Browns 1 Hour Tan Mousse. I think I’ll stick with being pale in future!

I am fairly new to self tanners so didnt know what to expect, after applying this after the first 60 minutes i did not notice any difference, but showered anyway and there was no difference in my skin colour. I then tried the following day leaving on for the 3 full hours..still no difference!! Im not sure what it is, i am very fair skinned so maybe thats why? I have tried using this product 4 times now and it has not made any changes to the color of my skin, just really disappointing as this product is not cheap, the only positive is that this smells wonderful, would not buy again.

I love this stuff! I have been using it for a few months now. I put it on at night after I shower, and don’t wash it off until I shower the next night. None washes off that I can see, and I don’t turn a weird color. It gets me darker than flawless. Also I rub lotion on my hands and feet after application, so they are blended better.
