UPDATE: This Boots ‘Simply Sensitive’ line oddly enough seems to be giving me cystic acne and causing terrible breakouts for me. Took this from 4 stars to 1 star. Sorry. Definitely will not repurchase. Which is a shame, because the ‘sensitive skin’ line I used to use from Boots was wonderful, the previous ‘sensitive’ line was Holy Grail for me. This is sadly the total opposite end of the spectrum. 🙁
My original review: Gets the job done. Pretty much is fragrance-free as listed on the bottle (thank you, Boots, fragrance-free sometimes isn’t necessarily so!). This is a rather small bottle, 2.5 US fluid ounces, so it is pretty much travel-sized, although it is with the regular cleansers, so I guess this is the ‘regular’ size.
The scrubbing ‘beads’ in this are teeny-tiny super-small, almost microscopic……like, I can’t even feel them (much less see them..?) hardly at all. So I kind of thought, what good is this going to do..? -but, it worked some kind of magic, and did exfoliate. I realize that being for sensitive skin, and that is likely why the beads are almost microscopic, but I like to feel them ‘working’…trivial an personal and quirky, I know, and totally a psychological thing, but I just like to ‘feel’ a product working. That said, this does exfoliate quite well, so..there is that!
Leaves my skin soft, not drying at all. I do miss the other Boots scrub that Target used to carry (I purchased this in Target), but this is just fine. I have used better scrubs, but this is just fine. Gets the job done and if you have sensitive skin and a sensitive nose, this might be worth checking out!!
I still am on the hunt for a scrub to replace the other Scrub that I used to get from Boots. But I suppose this one will tide me over just fine until then! No real complaints, and it gets the job done. I will say I kind of wish the tube was a little bigger, but that is just a personal thing/preference/wish. My skin and nose are sensitive, so I do appreciate this product and would likely repurchase. But I will still be on the hunt for something ‘better’.
This is good, does the job, and yes it leaves my skin soft and all, but I just like to ‘feel deep-down clean’ – especially when I use a scrub/exfoliating type of product….and for some reason, my skin does not feel as clean with this as the old Boots scrub that I used to use and love. But again, if you have super-sensitive skin and a sensitive nose, you might enjoy this!!! My skin and nose are sensitive, but I just like to feel a litte ‘something’ and that ‘deep down clean’ that I love to feel when I use a scrub or exfoliating type of product, and I just do not get that feeling with this. But again, decent enough that I will continue to use and possibly repurchase if I can’t find something better for my sensitive skin.
