I placed this peel in the scrub category, as I didn’t really know how to classify it. It’s not really a scrub though, more like a mix between a scrub and a mask. You apply it as a mask, leave it on for five minutes and then sort of scrub. It’s an excellent exfoliant. I’ve been using a few different Phytomer produtcs lately; some have really impressed me, some have impressed me less. This one love. If you tend to get clogged pores like I do, this one is definitely worth a try. No scrub or peel (unless done professionally) can get rid of all clogged pores. It simply doesn’t happen. This peel however, does an impressive job removing most of them. Indeed, out of all the peels and scrubs I’ve tried, this one is the best. It is quite scrubby though, so you shouldn’t use it more than once or twice a week. If you have sensitive skin, perhaps less often. I use it about twice a week and although my skin does react to some products, it hasn’t reacted negatively to this peel.
This peel makes my skin soft, clean and glowy (well, as glowy as 39 year old skin can be). I can’t give this peel all the credit though, because I also use Paula’s Choice Weekly resurfacing treatment. That said, this peel is spectacular on it’s own too. I have already repurchased a new tube and will continue using it until I find something something better. Or perhaps I should say IF I find something better.
