I love this scrub. It’s gentle, but is effective at thoroughly exfoliating skin. I like to use this and then their 5% Glycolic Acid Mask, my skin feels so smooth after! A little goes a long way with this scrub, and I only use it a couple times a week.

I bought this in a bonus pack with the Restructiv SRD Retinol lotion (that I love) because it was a great deal however, I’m not that impressed with this product. It is gentle in the sense it is not drying or harsh on the skin but I hate that it is nearly impossible to get those beads off your face. I rinsed and rinsed, rubbed and rubbed, and yet there were still annoying bits left on my face after drying. I don’t care for the scent of this cleanser/exfoliator either. The best part of this product to me is how smooth your skin feels and how prepped it is for the Glyco Laser 5 Smooth Peel Night Cream. I feel like it make that product even more effective that it is without the exfoliator. I doubt I will repurchase this (unless I get it as a bonus again) because it’s more annoying than it is beneficial to me.
Update 1/7/2016 – Apparently I was using too much of this product and that is why I was left with the exfoliating beads on my skin after rinsing. Good to know that you should only use a pea-sized amount as it will work better and last longer. I may change my mind and repurchase when it runs out because it seriously makes my skin so soft and serums, etc absorb so much better than when I don’t use it.

I got this in a “value package” (so it was free) with the Restructive SRD serum/lotion moisturizer that has recently been released by Jouviance. I’m so delighted with that product that I went to buy a back-up and saw it in this value packaging, which is how I ended up owning this. Up until now, I’ve been totally delighted with all the products I’ve purchased from Jouviance but this exfoliator is a bit of a disappointment.
When Jouviance first launched, they didn’t have an exfoliating product and on their website, they maintained that they didn’t believe in using scrubs and such and that using a facecloth was all the exfoliating anyone needed. But they changed their tune and eventually came out with this. I’m not especially impressed. While the “bamboo beads” are smooth (no harsh, cutting edges), they seem awfully large and not very plentiful and so the product doesn’t really seem to do a very good job of exfoliating. The base is rather creamy and a bit difficult to wash off (I ended up using a wet face cloth to make sure I got all the product off without getting it into my eyes). It’s nice that this didn’t leave my skin feeling dry after removing it but for an exfoliating product, I just don’t find all that effective. While I’ll continued to use this until I finish it, I will stick with the fabulous Vasanti Brighten Up – that is a true “holy grail” exfoliating product in my books.

I was in Shopper’s yesterday and the Jouviance rep was there and talked me into sampling some of the exfoliator on my hand. I normally use the Caryl Baker Papaya one, but I thought, ‘if I like this one, then I can get most of my stuff in one place.) So I rubbed it in on my hand and she washed it off, and my hand felt SO SOFT and looked much brighter. So I decided to give it a shot (Jouviance had a duo where you got the exfoliator and a DNA, Anti-Pollution cream for $62 (originally $86). So I tried the exfoliator last night and my skin immediately felt so soft and smooth, it was hard not to keep touching it. I don’t know what in this one that makes it so special ( the bamboo? olive? shea butter?) but it really does take all the dead skin cells off *without irritating the skin and making it red*. This morning when I put on my makeup, I noticed my scars were a little less noticeable and my makeup went on even easier.
