[will update this is only initial review]
*combination, oily on tzone and near nose cheek area. pale olive [medium beige tone] *
phew I was worried about this product, I gambled with it because the clear and green primers of the same range were not available.
I got it on sale [non-US resident , got it online on a website for local residents] for 12$ [on the nyx website I think it’s 13$] which I found as very reasonable pricing, I’m glad I made it to the sales because it immediately sells out. [the extra price is for shipping I think so the reduced sales price is more convenient, honestly buying expensive primers made me feel like you pay extra for nothing, just packaging and spf and some ingredients. I would not pay extra for a primer, it should be effective and affordable. my Rimmel primer that I use on the normal areas is reasonably priced and works so much better than high end [looking at you max factor >-> ] . so ladies don’t think higher end equals efficacy, if more affordable brands are available like essence and elf and whatnot great get them. but nyx products are more available for me. 😀 ] [sorry for rant, end of rant]
pros: [i applied on the oily areas only]
-immediate matte finish on the cheeks, and reasonable matte finish on the nose [my nose is still too hardcore for most primers, but I really liked that with this , the oils were much reduced! 😀 ]
-affordable 🙂
-vegan friendly and great packaging, a squeeze tube where the product doesn’t leak out. very easy to store. travel and purse friendly packaging.
-the consistency is very watery , [update /after a few uses what comes out is a bit creamier but it still feels like a water that dries down to a nice powdery and then matte feel upon application/ ] with a thin layer it dries fast [the more layers you put the longer it takes] and it’s lavender pigmented but on my medium skin it went on clear when I spread it, which is what i was so worried about 😀 I love clear products!
-makeup on my cheeks [where I applied it, tzone and cheeks] held soooo well with it, immediate matte effect there that lasted HOURS.. 😀
cons:
– I expected it to be a bit more matte on my nose [though I am seeing an improvement over the Max factor All day Primer, which the nyx is replacing]
-wish it had spf in it. [max factor’s has spf 20 ]
P.S. I did do hourly checks, after two hours I noticed a slight, very slight oil on my nose. after four hours it was still slight. after that by two hours it was still the same, I would say it controls the oils so that when you do get them it’s not a grease-ball and makeup still holds . soo happy with this 😀

I am a HUGE fan of Smashbox’s primer, but it is so expensive. I have yet to find anything I loved as much until this. It seems to have the same formula and same staying power for so much less money.
I got this in Lavender to brighten my face. I am cool-toned and very light and sometimes I have some sallowness in tiny spots for whatever reason. This stuff gets rid of it and my face just lights up.
HUGE fan!
