This is without a doubt one of the worst products I have ever purchased. It balls and cakes under foundation and did nothing to control oil. I honestly believe Paula has people on her payroll to write phoney reviews for her products. If I could give it zero stars I would.

This stuff is no joke! It is the best product I have ever found to control oil. It can be a bit finnicky, meaning it goes on thick and can get bally and patchy with some makeup, or feel too drying. But if you can find a technique that works for you, then this stuff is amazing. I have found you can make many moisturisers, sunscreens and primers matte by mixing this in.
Personally, I mix this with my sunscreen to create a kind of primer with SPF. I need to control oil because I wear makeup and have full workdays where I can’t really touch up much, plus in the summer I cycle 40 minutes to work. Shine Stopper extends my makeup wear to 3-4 hours before needing a blot, and even then, we’re just getting into glowy territory. Without Shine Stopper, I have maybe 2 hours before I’ve got an oil slick going on.
This has made such a big difference for me, that I think everyone with oily skin should give this a try.

This is quite pricey but a little goes a long way. With my combination skin, my make up starts melting around my T zone by lunch time. However, a few dabs of this on my T zone after BB cream and before mineral powder keeps my make up in place for the entire day. This is the best mattifier I have ever used and I have tried many over the years. I will never try another mattifier because this works so well.

I’ve repurchased this tube many times, so decided it’s finally time for a review. My face is extremely oily, I have to constantly blot throughout the day, no product ever has solved this problem, but before I found this shine stopper it was worse. Putting this product on has completely changed how my face wears makeup for long work days. When I don’t put this product on the difference is huge, I try to never run out. There are some downfalls, like not all makeup agrees with it, and I do still have oil breakthrough, but it’s much less so and i can go longer without blotting. I use it by patting it on after applying makeup. This has become one of my holy grails.

i bought a regular size after trying the package sample and really liked it….for some reason after receiving the real thing it’s different from the sample…..the sample was a smooth gel cream kinda texture that dries after spreading for a bit…but the actual tube is sandy….i tried to shake it and see if it’s cause wasn’t mixed well….but it remains sandy as if i’m scrubbing my nose when i was applying it….it also doesn’t hold the oil as well as the sample……i feel like i’m being lied to…!!

Pretty good for my super oily skin. I still get oily, but this helps some. I find this works better if I rub it in, not pat it in like another reviewer stated. Just let this sink in for a good 10 minutes before applying foundation!

This product contains Myristyl Myristate, which is a HUGE acne no-no. I applied this to my forehead and had whiteheads the next day. Tried it on my chest, had whiteheads the next day. I contacted customer service, and even though I’ve spent hundreds on PC products and have been a loyal customer for years, they told me to mail it back and they wouldn’t refund my return shipping. Not impressed with that level of service – the product gave me acne for God’s sake! Beware if you have breakout-prone skin (which MANY people with oily skin will have – duh). PC, I’m totally not happy with you and I’m thinking about changing brands.

amazing stuff! I normally need to blot by 10am and it can be difficult for me to continually blot throughout the day as I get quite busy. On a normal day, by the time I get a chance to look in the mirror around lunchtime, I have a heart attack over how oily and disgusting I look. When I use this, my makeup holds much better and I don’t need to blot until the very end of the day. I wasn’t expecting miracles because I really am that oily but it’s a major improvement to how I was before. A little expensive for the amount you get but you can get $15 off your order using this (Australians only):

I am so glad PC have made a product solely for mattifying your face because comparable products are just full of bad alcohols.
I was not expecting miracles but this does a very very good job at keeping oil at bay. My face is literally an oil slick and this has made a considerable difference to my face, I’m 10 hours into my day and only now when I touch my face I have oil coming off on my fingers.
I’ve bought a range of PC products and have considered them nothing special until this one.
I don’t find this makes my pores any better (is it meant to?) but I consider them a lost cause anyway!!
Downside is the price but I will still buy it again.

I received a sample of this with a PC order and I am very impressed! I have combination skin with my forehead/t-zone being oily regularly. I usually have to blot my forehead a few times a day to decrease the oil buildup. I wasn’t sure how this product would work, but I am very intrigued. I apply it after my morning skin care routine and before primer. I have large pores so I decided to still apply my usual primer on top. You don’t need a lot of this, just lightly tap it on to the problem areas and let it set. It has a matte finish and feels almost like cornstarch or something…like powdery but in a liquid form- it’s weird…but that is what makes it work. Usually by the end of an 8 hr shift at work even with primer and setting spray my makeup looks like it has worn off and is cakey in the oily areas even with blotting. However, with this product my makeup has literally stayed put ALL DAY. It looks good even at the end of my shift instead of looking like it needs a serious touch-up. My face has a matte finish with this and even though I have continued blotting out of habit, there is much less oil coming off. It definitely has kept the oil at bay while keeping my makeup in place with no caking up due to oil. I am seriously considering purchasing a full size bottle of this, it’s been a surprising game-changer in my make up routine. I can also see it working well applying it on top of your make up instead of under, but applying it first has worked for me.
