This looks like a dupe of Milk’s cooling moisture stick. But it’s a primer. I actually really really love it. I was worried it’d clog my pores because it’s thick and goes on sticky but actually it doesn’t. And it is one of the best primers I have because it literally grips the foundation. Love it! It doesn’t melt or slide in hot humid weather.

I bought this on a whim after watching EmilyNoel83 rave about it. I initially used it as a base for my undereye concealer mostly because I found the cooling sensation to be wonderfully comforting when I’m heavy-eyed in the mornings. But it also does great things for my makeup; the dewiness works really well in preventing creases, which is always a problem. It also hydrates the delicate skin which is a bonus.
Despite my love for this product, I just cannot repurchase a product from a company whose owner attempted to trademark #metoo. That story made me go, “what in the actual F.” I know there are lots of companies that do unethical things (duh) but that was just overt and gross, therefore I think I’ll try a similar product from a different brand (Elf supposedly has a great one).

I love the feeling of this on my skin because it’s really cooling, but or else it’s kind of pointless. It’s not very hydrating and I haven’t noticed any “primer” results from it.

The moment this primer stick touches your skin it feels like a cool cool veil of water, (without the actual liquid) has been pressed against your skin. It is refreshing and soothing and glides over the skin like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. Yes, glides. No tugging or pulling. And not gliding in a slimy or oily way. It’s pretty unique from anything else I’ve tried and the packaging is adorable. An ombré blue with a pale icy blue primer stick inside, gorgeous! After the initial application this primer feels a little tacky but quickly dries down and feels like there is nothing left on the skin. I like it fine but will reserve for use in the warm weather months when I will appreciate the cooling sensation much more. I wouldn’t count on this to extend the wear time of your foundation nor could I say if this adds a layer of hydration (I haven’t notice a difference) but it does feel nice on the skin.
Update: Now that it’s much warmer outside I’m appreciating both the cooling sensation upon application as well as how beautifully this sits under the rms beauty “Un” Cover-up foundation/concealer and I do believe it has helped with the wear time of it after all.

This wasnt the cheapest primer ever, but I really wanted to try a primer that was for dry skin (mine gets dry patches but also gets oily in my T zone. I wear a matte foundation and this really helps prep my skin so it doesnt look cakey. It has the most wonderful cooling effect when you swipe it on your face. My boyfriend is always asking me to put it on his face because he likes the way it feels haha
