The first time I tried this I used the primer , and a new foundation together … Two new products in one day is not a good idea !!! Something went horribly wrong and I didn’t know which one it was ! But today, using the natio primer and my normal foundation is good ! Primer goes on well, feels good on my skin, dries quickly and smells really nice too ! Definitely a good buy and awesome value for money .. My previous primer was smashbox photo ready which I liked but I think natio is my new favourite !

I got this primer as part of a Natio gift set, and it’s been a steady workhorse for me. I have sensitive, dry skin (with eczema smattered around my face) and this has never caused a reaction from me. My liquid foundation over the top never budges – I can honestly say that even when I touch up powder it’s a formality, it still looks like full cover.
It doesn’t make for a heavy look, and isn’t a concealer itself – it’s essentially a moisturiser that keeps makeup on longer, and feels like it too. I’ve only indicated not to re-purchase because there’s such a vast variety of other products to try!

Natio are notoriously hit and miss with their products. This is one of their terrible misses.
I was in the market for a cruelty-free primer &, as the reasonably received Ageless Illuminating Primer wasn’t in stock, I decided to try out the Pure Mineral primer.
This is only the second time I’ve used it. Not only is it a ‘meh’ primer (it only provides a vaguely discernible surface for even distribution of foundation or BB cream) but does nothing for smoothing out pores and my T-zone has become as oily as usual by midday on both occasions.
WHY I RATE IT SO BADLY:
I could ignore its not being terribly effective and, after paying $18 for it, use it up as an everyday primer… except that I used it today (being a Sunday) because I’ve been wary of using it. Why? I’m not usually sensitive/have reactions to cosmetics (Jane Iredale’s powder is the only other product that has caused me problems as far back as I can remember), but I’ve had to thoroughly cleanse my face to remove this gunk because it dries my skin out & has a burning, itching sensation as if I’d rubbed an irritating nettle juice onto my face. I noticed this the first time I used it during high summer on a work day. I wasn’t sure whether it was this primer had made my face feel awful (although wasn’t actually any visible blotching or anything else by the time I got home).
I thought I’d try it out again when I was in a position to exclude any other factors which might have set off this reaction on a day when I could remove it should I have a reaction to it again. It’s a mild autumn day & it is definitely responsible for the adverse reaction.
FOR THOSE WHO ARE ALLERGIC TO OR WANT TO AVOID SILICONES:
Don’t bother. I’ve listed the ingredient in the list above. It contains dimethicone, the cosmetic industry’s favourite cheap silicone.
