This is alcohol in a bottle. Upon first spray you smell it…alcohol. It did not give me any illumination at all. It dried out my skin. Not going to repurchase.

The photo shows the Oil Control Spray but this review is for the Pro Illuminating Spray (the black bottle with stars on it).
It does keep makeup put, especially in the summer, it leaves a slightly dewy finish and the pump is pretty decent, but the smell is too strong for me–it smells very, very chemical–and leaves my skin feeling very dry throughout the day.
I use this only when I absolutely need it (with lightweight foundations like MAC Face & Body). I also use it to damp my eyeliner brush to apply eyeshadow as eyeliner.

This is such a good setting spray on a budget. It has scent to it that reminds me of Clarins setting spray.
It last a good work day,

I’m sorry to report that this did not meet my expectations. It made my skin look dry and dull; not Illuminated. While it did prolong the wear of my makeup by a few hours I did not like the finished look it gave my face. Will not repurchase.

I really wanted to like this product because of the price, but it just did not work. When I spray it immediately makes my pores show through my foundation and power. I have very oily skin and it doesn’t help with keeping my foundation on through out the day. The makeup on my nose will break down by the end of the day. I think I’m going to go back to UD setting spray.

This is my favorite drug store setting spray by far. First of all, it is twice the size of NYX, ELF, or WnW setting sprays, which I appreciate because I feel like I go through those smaller bottles really fast. There is a slight scent to this, but it doesn’t bother my skin or irritate my eyes. Aside from the size of the bottle, I think the packaging is great and the sprayer especially is wonderful. It gives a nice, fine mist all over the face that really helps to distribute the product evenly without having to over-spray. When I use this up, I try to save the bottles to decant other setting sprays with crappier nozzles into. I love a lot of Makeup Revolution products, but this is definitely one of my favorites and I highly recommend it.

This review is for the oil control version.
This stuff is amazing! I was very skeptical that setting sprays actually did anything based on my first one (ELF – I foil eyeshadow with it now), but I added this spray to my last MUR order on the strength of the recommendations here.
And….can I just say….wow.
I own an expensive powder foundation that broke down and separated on my nose after 3 hours. I was about ready to pitch it because it looked so bad when it separated, there was no fixing it. After spraying this, I dust setting powder about 3 hour shift in when I get dewy looking, then it goes up to 8 hours looking good! Sometimes I powder again, sometimes I don’t. The only breakdown I get is around my nostrils (and I haven’t found anything to fix that yet).
I’m really amazed. My t-zone is quite oily and most foundations only last 4-5 hours before breaking down on my nose. To still see my nose covered 8 hours in?
I’m a happy girl.
This works better than any primer I’ve ever tried.
It’s love.

Wow I can’t believe there are only 2 reviews on makeupalley. Ulta has 144 reviews, this product has 4 stars there for a reason. This stuff works! I have oily skin, and this stuff really holds my makeup in place, and extends the amount of time I can wear makeup.

I have EXTREMELY oily skin and makeup tends to slide off my face. I spray my makeup with this and I have to almost scrub my face to get it off at the end of the day. I only have to touch my makeup up with a finishing powder halfway through the day. I highly recommend.

If you love Fix+ but shy at the price ( I can go through a bottle every 6 weeks easily) this little number from MUR gives the same hydration and luminosity for $8 USD. The only caveats I see are the denatured alcohol ( can be drying) and the hydrogenated castor oil ( in place of glycerin which is likely more $.) The spray is a very fine mist and just a few pumps are plenty to cover the face. Though I live in a very humid climate my face is still very combo to dry; my nose is an oil slick but the rest of my face is dry as a desert. This helps to set my makeup and adds much needed moisture.
There’s also an oil control formula for people who battle shine; I can’t speak to that one considering my mature and dry skin but I’d hope it’s as great as the illuminating type.
