Waste of time and money. This went back to Ulta. It was super hydrating for something for oily skin. Did not even anchor my makeup to my face. UGH!

Background: I have been using this product most days for over 9 months now (I’m onto my second tube). I have very sensitive combination skin. I apply this using my fingers after cleansing on the T-zone and also under my eyes.
Pros:
* Helps makeup to last longer. This product helps my foundation stay in place. I have an extremely oily T-zone which does show through after a couple of hours but this primer definitely helps! I apply it underneath my eyes too so that my under-eye concealer stays in place better.
* Makes my skin feel smooth.
Cons:
* Quite pricey. I got mine for AUD $27.70 (May 2014) from BeautyBay, but it currently retails at AUD $39.00 at Mecca.

I recieved a sample of this product and had previously never really wore a primer.
I loved the way it applied and made my whole face very smooth, and it made my makeup glide over my face and apply wonderfully. I could also tell it made a big differance, my makeup stayed on all day and did not budge.
However I have sensitive skin, and am breakout prone, and after about 4 days I realized it made me breakout terribly. I had made no other change in my diet or beauty routine, so I knew this was the cause. And let me tell you it has taken a very long time to get my face back to normal. Too bad because I really would have loved this product.
So this might work great if you have normal skin, but if you have sensitive skin, use Smashbox Photofinish Light. See my review on there for more info 🙂

This primer is very average
I’ve tried to make it many times and had no luck
it’s very velvety which is nice but it’s so greasy once i put my other make up on, it feels like it never sets.
I would definitely not recommend

I’ve tried every primer on Earth, and this one did it for me. I have the oiliest skin you will ever, ever, ever encounter, so most primers were laughable in terms of thinking they could tame the Texaco rig going on over here. This doesn’t try to tame it, and that’s made all the difference. It seems to work with my oil in making my skin look luminous and poreless (just like the name of it). It doesn’t break me out, a little product goes a long way (yay to saving $$), and it has no offensive smell. I actually get compliments on my skin when I wear this. Does it make my foundation last longer? I’m not sure. But it looks great.

Worn alone, this makes my skin look great. Worn with foundation over it, I love how this primer holds my makeup in place all day and nothing budges. It truly smoothes and perfects the skin before application. The packaging is perfect, too. The price really isn’t so bad, but for only 1oz of product, I think $30 is too much. It IS worth it, though. I tried this before I tried the oil-free version and worried it would cause my skin to break out, but it didn’t. This is one of my FAVORITE primers.

I have large pores, fine lines, and oily skin. This primer is amazing at smoothing out my skin before applying my Estée Lauder double wear foundation. I spread it on with my fingers, then put excess on my mac 130 brush, before buffing on foundation. Makeup is flawless, appears as if I’m not wearing any! Also minimizes fine lines and large pores disappear.

I can’t believe this has such a poor rating? 🙁 I love this stuff. I have oily/combination skin that’s very sensitive. With this my makeup stays in place for hours, I only occasionally need to re-powder. In Arizona heat that’s very impressive! It feels light on my skin and gives me an even base for my makeup. One lippie off for the price; I feel like for $30, this should last a little longer than 2 months.

I got this as a 100-point perk from Sephora. I use it only on the oily areas of my face (cheeks, nose, forehead), and I can see the shine go away after I use it. You need to let it set, which takes a few minutes. Using it on the dry areas is a bad idea, because it is pretty mattifying, and it will make those areas flaky.
My makeup stays on or doesn’t oxidize for longer with this primer, but it isn’t a miracle worker either, so it might be better to use in the winter. As a freebie, it’s good, but I wouldn’t buy it in comparison to other face primers.
