The matte primer stick is just as good if not better than the Milk Blur Stick. I have all three of the primer sticks which includes the matte stick, hydrating stick, and the luminous one. I’ll review all three:
The Matte Stick: Now that it’s about to be summer where I live I’m stocking up on mattifying products so the heat doesn’t melt off my makeup. This stick is awesome for foundation. I can even use this by itself so I don’t get super shiny. I recommend it because it’s affordable and I have the Milk Blur Stick and this works even better. It doesn’t feel slippery and when you apply your foundation it doesn’t slide all over the place.
The Hydrating Stick: This was more sticky than I expected. Not a feeling of hydration but then I put my matte foundation on top of it and it gripped the heck out of it. My makeup lasted longer. I still got oily but my foundation wasn’t completely gone. I still don’t know how to feel about it because it’s way too tacky. I recommend it if you have dry skin but I’d rather use this in the winter than the summer. I prefer the matte stick.
The Luminous Stick: I recommend for dry skin!! It has shimmer in it and a dewy finish but after you cover it up with foundation it makes your makeup look glowy. It’s a little too “luminous” for my oily skin because I prefer a mattifying finish but this would look pretty on someone with dry, dull skin.
These sticks are like the drugstore versions of the Milk sticks. I recommend them because they’re affordable and they do work nicely. I mostly recommend the matte stick and the luminous one.
