I love this product , I’d definitely buy it again. I’m a model and I get dry around my eyes . I’m constantly going I don’t have time to stop and put water around my eyes , which never lasted long enough. But this product is perfect , I put it on at 7:00 am and it keeps my eyes soft and moist all day . I carry it with me always . THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!!!!

This primer didn’t do much for me

I got this in my Ipsy bag and have been working on using it for months. It’s lasted a really long time!
I started by using this as an eye primer – it’s just too oily for me in that application.
Switched to using it as a face primer…it’s OK. Not the best, not the worst. Doesn’t really seem to make things much smoother or last longer on my face, so I suppose as a primer, it’s generally ineffective, at least for me?

I really like this primer… it works for face and eyes which I like…. it works great…I usually like opaque primers for eyes though so that’s the only negative and after about 6 hours it will start creasing.

I got this product in my Ipsy bag and I’m really meh about this. The packaging is profesionnal and hygienic, and the little tube lasted a long time but that’s about it.
I find it really too liquid and too oily, even with a really dry sensitive skin like mine. I also think it made me break out a little and I’m not someone who break out easily.
Moreover, it made my foundation ball up when used in combination with the Elf HD powder, and then I had no more foundation on but weird gunky little balls on my face.. eww.
I’ll not repurchase.

Mirabella’s Prime For Face&Eyes is a “silky smooth clear formula primer that slides on the skin, creating the perfect base for any Mirabella foundation.” Mirabella warns you to avoid using this product near the lash lines and to use this primer sparingly. I received a full size tube of this multi-use primer in my December Ipsy Bag. Mirabella’s primer contains no parabens or dyes. This primer contains .45 fl oz (12.85) and retails for $29. Mirabella products can be bought through the brand’s website and at salons throughout North America and Europe (a map can be found on the brand site). Mirabella products are not tested on animals. This product was made in the USA.
Packaging for Mirabella’s Prime for Face&Eyes looks pretty professional. This product comes in a red and white cardboard box. The box offers a product description, a full ingredient list, and application tips. The primer its self comes in a long, grey, squeeze tube. The texture features the product name and product name printed in dark grey lettering. Removing the tube’s screw on cap reveals a needle nose dispenser.
Mirabella’s Prime for Face&Eyes is different from just about any primer I’ve tried. Its clear and seemed similar to Tarte’s Clean Slate Poreless Primer, but its not. This primer is very thin and dare I say it, greasy. Greasy was my first impression of this product, not just in it’s feel but also in it’s finish. Mirabella’s primer makes me look oily and I hate the way it feels on my face. This primer feels so heavy and cloying, it makes my cheeks feel tight. I don’t notice the same gross feeling on my eyelids. I feel as though Prime for Face&Eyes does the opposite of what a primer should. It causes eyeshadows to apply with less vibranct and to crease faster than they would without a base. As for my foundation? It causes it to transfer off of my face, a problem I’ve never encountered before using this primer. I’ve come to the conclusion that Mirabella’s Prime for Face&Eyes is actually an anti-primer. On top of the previously mentioned problems, this product also causes me to get clogged pores on the sides of my nose. There is not a single thing I like about this product.
I’ve been incredibly displeased with Mirabella’s Prime for Face&Eyes. This is a poor excuse for a primer, it doesn’t prolong the wear of anything, it shortens it instead. The consistency of this product is oily and off putting, plus it feels uncomfortable on my face. If I have to say something nice about Mirabella’s primer, it has sanitary, easy to use, and professional looking packaging. In short, I can sum up my feelings about this product in one word, and that word is “no”.

I actually love this primer. Although the ingredients and feel are similar to Smashbox Photo Ready, I find Smashbox to be a heavier primer – Mirabella Primer is actually a lighter formula. When I’ve used Smashbox’s primer, at times I get build up or resistance with certain foundations – with Mirabella, it works with any foundation, regardless of whether it’s water based or emollient based foundation – still slides right over my skin.
I have very combination skin which is extremely dry, sometimes flaky, acne prone, sensitive, and oily on the nose and forehead. I use Proactiv which can be incredibly drying but it’s the only thing that heals my acne and prevents it. Over that, I use Bobbi Brown Moisturizer, and once the moisturizer has settled in, I add Mirabella’s primer (a thin layer) over my entire face and eyes. It doesn’t irritate my skin or break me out.
I have very oily eyelids and undereyes, and I find this primer is not suitable for my oily undereye area – I crease very quickly. It says it is for face and eyes but it didn’t work as a primer for my eyelids or undereye area. I have to use a few different concealers and a setting powder in order for my eyes not to crease.
Anyway – I love it and I am definitely going to repurchase!

I received this product from an Ipsy glam bag subscription.
It is exactly the same formulation as Smashbox Photo Finish and Tarte Clean Slate primers. Nothing special and about the same price.
