I liked it okay. I bought it on a whim and i myself would use it more on my legs to give them a shimmer than on my face. It looked crazy on my face but as it settled it was less crazy looking. Maybe it looks better on dark skin than fair? I would say its more for fake tanners and WOC. I will get more cause i like the look on my body.
The texture was more rough than im used to. A lil covered my whole forehead. And that was just one drop. And i usually need two or more with other primers. Im used to primers than go on soft.

I like E.L.F. cosmetics, but I’m not a fan of this primer in Radiant Glow. The pump packaging is great, and the sheer sunset color would be excellent if not for all the glitter. Boy howdy, is there a lot of glitter in this stuff. Wanting a warm glow doesn’t mean you want to look like you’re headed to a rave.
You can tone it down if you layer a very matte foundation over it, and luckily I had some. Not gonna rebuy, though.

Lost this product now both the targets in my area doesn’t stock it anymore. This product worked really well for me. It gave me this beautiful glow that helped my makeup not melt during Las Vegas weather of 110 degrees. I don’t think this product is good for acne prone skin or skin that has big pores. Definitely not. The glitter will enhance all that.

I tried the elf primer and for a inexpensive product it is not bad. It normally runs around $3-$6 at cvs. Cvs also runs promotions and you can get money back on elf products, so it’s cheap to try. I’m sure there are better primers out there but I wasn’t disappointed with this product.

After reading reviews I wanted to try an ELF primer.
Bought the illuminating primer today and I guess I didn’t think it would be glittery.
I like the look of brightness and ‘illuminating’ but this is like the old body glitter! It is so shiny and very noticeable on my pale skin. The texture is smooth but I can’t move past the glitter, it’s just too much! The container is also quite cheap looking.
I will not repurchase this one and would not recommend but might try another ELF primer.

I bought this as a primer, i put it on and did my makeup , got it all done looked in the mirror and felt like edward cullen when he steps in the sun, HORRIBLE PRIMER….now that being said i used it as a really light highlighter and LOVE it across my cheek bones and end of my nose, when you use it just beware and light handed!

I love the shimmer in this! It’s so gorg & buffed in under my foundation & powder, is such a pretty effect. This is kind of warm/yellowish/”golden” so if ur cooled tone this may not be as good of a result. Sometimes I wear this just with some Coty Airspun loose powder, small wings (black eyeliner), black waterproof mascara/curl lashes, brows & Fresh Rose lip balm for a made up no makeup day. I’ve been told I look sick without makeup so this gives me the perfect glow! I do find if you over apply & use a lot of bronzer u can get the Jersey Shore Snooki look but you have to do that much on purpose (there are days I will do makeup reminiscent of guidettes), apply a fresh to death pale pink lipstick (MAC Behave Yourself), brows, heavy black eyeliner/white eyeshadow/tons of mascara, oh & don’t forget the bronzer &hoop earrings; some ppl may call this Halloween but elf primers are life. I like the anti acne salicylic acid one best but I also use this, SPF20, Poreless, Hydrating, & love them all even if they are $$$ (getting .5oz for $6?! Cmon!), u only need 1-2 pumps for max effect. 5 fist pumps!!

First of all, I am reviewing the E.L.F. Radiant Glow Primer, but for some reason, most of the reviews that have been written for this product are for the other E.L.F. primers such as the green and pink one, which ARE BETTER but this specific one IS GOLD SHIMMER, NOT a primer. This would be the absolute perfect makeup for a Halloween costume such as Cleopatra, that’s how shimmery this crap is. There’s a difference between a “radiant glow” and “gold shimmer,” and they NAILED the shimmer. The description of the product which is listed on the box, states that it is a “clear primer,” but that couldn’t be any more of a lie. As if those reasons weren’t enough to make you stay away from it, about 5 minutes after you apply it, if you start rubbing the areas where you applied it, the product literally crumbles and flakes off of your skin, it’s disgusting! If you were to take it even a step further and apply foundation over it, the foundation doesn’t stick to it very well and goes on patchy and extremely sheer. I’ve even tried using less product and it still gave me the exact same effect. In addition to the product not being anything like it’s described, the packaging is the cheapest looking thing I’ve ever seen. I mean, I get it, it’s only $6, but it’s not that much cheaper than a primer from Maybelline or Loreal and their packaging is a million times more appealing. I’m actually keeping it for the sole purpose of using it for this Halloween since I’m going to be Cleopatra and the gold shimmer will be absolutely perfect as an all over face and body addition without having to use much else besides eye make up.
Overall, I would NOT RECOMMEND this product as a primer to anyone, but if you’re looking for the perfect gold shimmer face paint for a Halloween costume, look no further!

Perhaps the other elf primers are great, but after my experience with the first and only one I’ve tried, I’m terrified.
First off, I have large pores on my cheeks and chin. I’m always looking for a way to blur them or minimize them as best I can. So when I saw elf’s Poreless primer for $6 I had to try!
When I got home I noticed the bottle was very poorly put together. The pump wasn’t secure onto the base and it cased a shaking noise. Not a huge deal, especially for the price. The pump seemed to work just fine and I swatched the product on the back of my hand. It felt wet, very silicone based and holy moly did it smell! Silicone feeling products don’t bother me, I love the Maybelline baby skin, but this was something else. I tried to use it, I even finished my entire face and debated on wearing it out, but I just couldn’t the smell was over powering and the product did absorb into my skin at all. Sadly this was a return, though I wish a $6 primer would work for me.

I bought the green color correcting one. Wow what an amazing value. I work in a place that I am constantly moving around. And when i pair this primer with Maybelline FIT me matte + Poreless foundation it stays all night. I get off at 0630 and I could go to breakfast or whatever and look like I just put my makeup on. I think the combination of the two is a match made in heaven! 😆
