   I’ve been using this for a few months now, it’s a really good base that helps to seal in your skincare and set the base for makeup. I use this along with the essential toner and emulsion and it’s worked wonderfully. My skin is soft, smooth and very clear, I’ve noticed finisher delivers some brightening effects as well. It helped massively with a period of sensitivity I had on my skin – red and itchy, the main reason I use this range for skincare and makeup. The finisher helps my makeup to go on smoothly and leaves it looking glowing and healthy!

   This product has no category in MUA, because it doubles up as a finisher and as a primer, so I’ve listed it under the Prime/Corrector category. A finisher is a new Korean beauty trend and is the last step of basic skincare that you would use at night. It seals all the goodness in and adds on another layer of care.

   I was initially not too impressed with the finisher when I used it at night because I do not see the point of sealing all your products in since your skin would probably already absorb the products anyway, BUT….

   …I read that you could use it as a primer before makeup, so I tried, and I was blown away!

   The cream is very light, smells heavenly and has a pearly finish to it. I apply this on as my last step after sunscreen and before foundation. Just one pump of the cream will do. The bottle’s pump will give you a good amount with just one pump.

   I let it absorb into my skin before I put on foundation. After you’ve applied foundation, you will see that your face has a natural glow to it! A tad bit pearly, glowing skin that looks healthy.

   I live in a humid climate 365 days a year and makeup ALWAYS slides within 4-5 hours, even if I am in an air-conditioned office almost the whole day. But this finisher has helped me keep everything in place the whole day WITHOUT the sticky, oily feeling. Plus, it gives me such glowing skin I do not need a highlighter or the Guerlain meteorite balls. Also, it helps that it has natural herbs like ginseng and green tea – as opposed to silicones and chemical balms in other primers.

   I did try the green primer from Nyx, but it did not give my skin the glow that this Luminature Essential Finisher did and broke me out on the 2nd day of using. Korean beauty products are way more sophisticated and advanced than the Western counterparts anyway, so I reverted to using this.

   But yes, the finisher is rather pricey. For an 80ml bottle, it’s around US$90. Not cheap, but I’m thinking of sticking to this until I find a better alternative that’ll give me the same result AND provide my skin with nutrients too.

   PROS: Natural ingredients, gives natural radiance to skin, smells nice, texture is light. The bottle’s pump has been estimated to give you a good amount with just one pump.

   CONS: Expensive. Not travel friendly. The glass bottle is luxurious but a bit heavy to carry while travelling. Probably have to pump some of the cream out into another bottle.
