Oh no. The smell. The. Smell.
I’m not bothered by a small amount of fragrance in makeup or skincare. And I’m not sensitive to smells in general. But this is a whole other issue. Its strong. And it doesn’t go away once its on your face. Its powdery yet….rancid?
IF you can get past the scent then its an okay primer. Truthfully, I couldn’t wear it long enough to say if its that good or not. I’m glad this worked for some of you though! This is an excellent brand and I will continue to purchase\use their stuff. Just not this.

Second repurchase! Yes. It does have a strong decent but it doesn’t make me not want to use it especially since the fragrance dissipates quickly. Great primer for your water based foundations!

I am glad that I read the reviews here before I applied this product to my face. At least I was prepared for the very strong perfumed scent. Not only is it highly perfumed, the scent is quite long-lasting. It is too much for me and I do not even have sensitive skin! Frankly, it makes my eyes water just from applying a small amount to my face (and not around eyes).
The product is light-weight and does impart a bit of sheen and softness to skin. I do not find it to be particularly nourishing/moisturizing. It is necessary to wait a number of minutes for the dry-down in order to avoid greasiness and pilling. In this case, I think ‘primer’ is used in the sense of softening and brightening the skin a bit.
i dont really see anything special about this product and the scent makes it completely undesirable.

I’m very surprised to see all of the negative reviews for this product. My HG Korres primer (Anti-aging Quercetin & Oak) was DC’d so I tried this one and feel they are very similar. I agree there is a fragrance, but it’s only slightly off-putting to my nose, not as intensely revolting as others claim.
I only use water-based primers and I truly feel this is hydrating and also helps my foundation apply smoother and last longer. Even though this is a pricey primer, a little goes a long way.

Free or not though, this… oh Korres, I’m not mad at you. I’m just disappointed. I have loved you dearly in the past, but I gotta tell ya.. this has to be one of the most foul-smelling beauty product ever created. I understand that it’s “greek yogurt” and stuff, but this carries an aroma reminiscent of something you might find in the morgue.
(I’m not kidding. Seriously – I’ve watched at least 3 human autopsies in my time, and more than a few animal necropsies)
I can’t even comment on whether or not this primer actually works as a primer because I just couldn’t bear to subject my poor olfactory bits to this cream.
As far as packaging, it’s pretty – white, with a delicate little pattern under the writing.
It was also free, which is good because if I had to pay for it I’d be a tad fussy about it.
But.. yeah. There we go. It has potential because it is Korres, but that smell just won’t’ quit.

Review: I thought this might be an ok moisturising primer, but it’s actually pretty light, almost like a lotion or milky gel type texture. It does add some moisture and a slightly dewier look to whatever foundation you use over top. It didn’t make any difference in the longevity of my make-up but it did help it to apply more smoothly. It’s basically the same effect you’d get from any old moisturiser.
It has a strong scent (not unpleasant or bad but very noticeable) that lasts for hours on skin no matter what you apply on top. It also contains menthyl lactate – which produces a cooling/tingling sensation when you apply. It can be super irritating though for many including myself, and my skin would have that “menthol”-y feeling like you have toothpaste on your face or something for about 4 hours. . .definitely not good for skin and I just wanted to wash it off but was running late the first day I tried it (stupidly right before work). I don’t know why Korres felt the need to add this irritant to a primer meant for sensitive skin! Myself having combination sensitive skin, I would say this is one of the *least* ideal primers for sensitive skinned individuals, and they market this towards sensitive-skinned women, a terrible idea. Aside from irritation other cons for me were:
– as mentioned above, does not make any difference in wear time of my make-up
– doesn’t do anything more than my regular moisturizer
– ingredients make this difficult to recommend for any skin type, it’s not hydrating enough for dry skin (plus the irritating cooling sensation makes my dry patches even drier), contains too many potentially clogging ingredients for acne/clog-prones, and if you have normal skin why add needless irritation into your routine?. . .I would struggle to recommend this to anyone really.
I tried mixing this with a different primer, to see if it would lessen the irritation from the menthyl lactate and fragrance but it made almost no difference, if anything it only delayed the onset of irritation.
Recommend/Repurchase? No, would not recommend this to anyone, too many problematic ingredients. Definitely would never repurchase, and returned my tube after 3 uses.

I was in search of a primer without dimethicone in it to avoid aggravating my acne. I found the ingredients list for this and thought it would be a great primer to try. I have to say I had mixed reactions to this. At first I loved the scent and was excited it did not have an icky smell to it. Then I started using this. I found that even under layers of makeup (foundation, concealer, powder, blush, etc) that I could still smell it. I love scent in my products, but this was too strong of a scent that I started to feel sickly when I could still smell it on me a while after I had applied it. The only thing I did love was the gel feel of this and how easily it smoothed in leaving me with a clean canvas. I also felt this helped my makeup last. If the company would change the scent on this I would purchase this, otherwise I plan on steering clear of it.
