I concur with various other reviewers. Despise the container product packaging for hygienic and also travel objectives. The product itself is really hydrating and not sticky. It doesn’t seem like a layer on my skin like some silicone guides do. I utilize it with NYX foundation (bare with me tinted skin shroud) as well as both work really nicely with each other

My face typically eats structure – I have no idea where it goes, but the majority of structures simply go away throughout the day (with some honorable exemptions). This primer really helps my foundation last through the day, and it feels hydrating without making me oilier. I’m not a substantial follower of the packaging (way too many lids to deal with on busy early mornings, and also too cumbersome for travel), but uncertain there are far better methods of product packaging jellies similar to this. A little bit on the expensive side, need to wait for sales to stock up.

Not fond of the product packaging, but love the item itself. It does exactly what it says. It’s not so ugly to the factor it creates make-up to pill, either. I like just how everything sits on top of this. I have oily skin and have no problems.

I agree with other reviewers. Hate the jar packaging for sanitary and travel purposes. The product itself is very hydrating and not sticky. It doesn’t feel like a layer on my skin like some silicone primers do. I use it with NYX foundation (bare with me tinted skin veil) and the two work very nicely together

This is more of a gripping primer on my skin vs. hydrating but for a non-silicone primer, I like it. Does not break me out, a little goes a long way. Just be sure to use a clean scoop each time. Would repurchase, just because I dislike silicone primers. Does help my makeup stay put.

*** Even better than Milk’s Hydrogrip Primer! ***
PROS: Hydrating // Dewy // Great for dry and sensitive skin // Vegan and cruelty-free formula that includes aloe and cucumber extracts
CONS: I’m really splitting hairs here to come up with a con…I don’t care so much for the product being in a jar. The packaging could be of higher quality since the price point is high for Nyx. ($17 at Ulta) The jar is made of thicker plastic, so if it’s dropped it will not crack.
BOTTOM LINE: I had initially tried Milk Makeup’s Hydrogrip primer, and was not impressed by the lack of moisturization and overall performance/”grip”. I have sensitive skin on the drier side and found that this Bare With Me primer does both of those things perfectly without irritating my skin. While it doesn’t exactly smooth out the skin’s texture, it is very hydrating and allows your foundation to blend and grip to skin. I have tried this primer under four foundations (in addition to Elf’s primer putty to smooth out my textured areas), and it works flawlessly with each of them.

I’m almost done my first jar of this, and am very pleasantly surprised at how well it works. The primer is a clear jelly with a bouncy texture, not unlike a Korean sleeping water-gel mask in consistency. It spreads evenly and well and does a great job of keeping my makeup where it’s supposed to stay, with NO pilling. This was also really nice to use in the summer during the hotter months, since it acted as a lightweight moisturizer. In the colder winter months, it’s a nice extra layer of moisture, and I like that it has no silicone in it. Because it has no silicone, I feel that it gives my makeup a more natural look. There’s a really generous amount of product in the jar (40 g), and with daily use, the little tub has lasted me six months. The one tiny gripe I have with the product is that I have to use a tiny spatula (I use the little stainless NIOD spoons for this- very versatile and easy to clean) to take out the product to avoid contaminating with my hands, although I suppose if this were in a pump, the coolness of the ‘jelly factor’ would be lost, and not nearly as fun. I’ve already repurchased a second tub. I’m really happy with this product and will continue to use. I think this product is a really nice alternative to the usual silicone based primers out there.
