I purchased this product online after reading somewhere that the BH Pressed Powder was a dupe for MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation. When I tested it out, I discovered that the BH Pressed Powder was not a dupe for Studio Fix (which had much heavier coverage) but it is still an excellent setting powder to use over foundation. This powder is very finely milled and does not make my foundation look cakey on the dry areas of my face. It also does a good job of controlling oil in my t-zone when I am in need of a touch-up. Out of all the pressed powders I have tried in recent months, I really like this one the best. I chose the 315 Nude Beige shade and it was a really good match for my light/medium, cool skin tone (NW22). It is very neutral in color and could also work for those with warmer complexions. I highly suggest that you try it.

Love the packaging , just like MAC studio fix powder. This doesn’t have much coverage but it works well as a setting powder. I do get slightly oily after about 4 hours , but the finish looks nice and not cakey The 205 is good for NW15 skin. Paid $4.25 on sale.

To start I got the lightest shade because someone had written it was perfect for NC20. It is not. Go one darker. So this is over all too light for me. But it ended up working out to even out my foundation that was too dark. Which didn’t work out because by the end of the day I might as well have not been wearing any sort of foundation (it was almost gone!)
This is nothing compared to the MAC Studio Fix powder plus or Mineralized (I’ve owned both). MAC had way more pigment and isn’t as finely milled. The BH powder is more finely milled but it gets everywhere unlike the MAC powder.
The BH powder did not set my makeup, it did not keep oil at bay… Or anything a powder is supposed to do.
The only similarity between the two is the packaging. Go pay the money for MAC and avoid this stuff.

I bought this powder because I heard it was a dupe for Mac studio fix powder. The powder is finely milled and if your not careful you will get powder every where. The packaging is just like the studio fix. This is a really good powder, the staying power is really good sometimes I wear it all day with just blotting once or twice. I have acne scars so I wear foundation underneath, I am Nc55 and I got two shades the 240 which I use to set my concealer now that it’s summer and the 250 which I use all over my face. In the winter I might have to change my to the 240 all over because I’m sure the 250 will be too dark and maybe get the 235 for my concealer. I would recommend this powder I use this for every day wear because I wanna be cheap and not use my Mac. The shipping is also a plus because I live in Canada and got my order in less than 2 weeks. Plus bh is always having some 50% off sale I got two powders for 11$

I use this powder every day. I love it! It is finely milled so it doesn’t look all cheap and cakey on your face. Plus, it goes for a GREAT price on the BH website!

I purchased this powder after rumours that it rivals MAC Studio Fix powder, which is sadly untrue, however this is still a good powder.
It provides light to medium coverage, but unless you already have perfect skin, this powder won’t substitute for foundation, and doesn’t have the coverage of Studio Fix powder.
I wear this over my foundation and find it wonderful for getting rid of the ashy look that is really common with a lot of foundations on darker skin tones. It’s almost like a bronzer, and evens out my complexion. In terms of oil control, this doesn’t work miracles but it’s pretty good, and even better when I wear this under my NARS translucent setting powder.
I purchased this in shade 240, and it is slightly dark for me. It’s comparable to maybe C6 in MAC (it’s been awhile since I’ve used that MAC shade so that’s from memory!) It doesn’t have the same yellow hue like NC45, but it’s as brown.
This powder comes in a lightweight black compact with a compartment for a sponge underneath and a small mirror. Similar, but slightly less chunky than MAC Studio Fix powder.
Overall, I will keep using and repurchasing this powder because it is SO CHEAP!! It helps even out my skintone over my foundation, and in winter I will probably use shade 235 and use this one as a contour/bronzer. So even though it’s not a dupe for Mac Studio Fix powder, it’s been wonderful for my makeup collection!

I use this as a powder foundation instead of as a finishing powder. It gives me really nice light to medium coverage. In between layers of powder, I will use a finishing spray like NYX’s matte finish spray or just regular rose water, and this prevents the powder from caking. It doesn’t seem to oxidize that much, maybe just a tiny bit, but I don’t find it bothersome. I have extremely oily skin and this keeps the oil at bay for at least 4 hours before I need to blot. Most other foundations disintegrate on me by the end of the day, but this one seems to blend in with my skin and wear off gracefully.
Definitely better than MAC’s mineralize powders… but I’ve never really been a fan of that company anyway.
I have already repurchased this when I ran out, and I’ll keep doing so. This really is a great powder and only $6 (and BH routinely has great sales on their prodcuts so there’s a good chance you’ll get it even cheaper than that)!

This powder is supposedly designed to be used as a pressed powder over foundation, but, I actually use it as a powder foundation. The best powdner that I had used prior to buying this powder, was the M.A.C. Studio Fix Powder Foundation in NW30. I really like the powder but it is pricey, it oxidizes, and it feels very heavy against my skin. However, it does provide, medium-to-full, buildable coverage, and a compact does last for quite some time. However, when I heard how great the powder by BH Cosmetics is through watching reviews done on it, I decided to order it. I purchased it in two colors 230 & 235. My main go to color is the 230 one. However, I do use the 235 shade when I want to add a little more dimension of color to my face.
This powder does come in a variety of shades, doesn’t oxidize on my face the way that M.A.C. Studio Fix Powder Foundation has always done, plus it is way more affordable too. I have now switched from constantly re-buying M.AC. Studio Fix Powder Foundation, and plan to stick with this one instead.
The coverage that you get with the BH Cosmetics powder is light-to-medium, buildable coverage. It has a silky texture to it, leaves a natural finish to the face, and contols oil amazingly well.
