Good for dry, mature skin. Doesn’t emphasize anything bad, evens out skin tone, provides some coverage, adds some color. Doesn’t feel or look heavy. No scent, nothing irritating on my skin anyway. Packing looks and feels substantial. The shades do run a little dark. I got medium and its very warm, but not too dark for me. I’m light-medium with strong warm/ yellow undertones. I didn’t find that it blurred pores so I use one my moisturizers that does first. Then I use this and thats all I need for a quick & easy complexion fix. It picks up very easily with a synthetic, not dense face brush.

For years I’ve been using the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder. I’ve tried many other powders with various levels of success, but I had to review the new Jouer Cosmetics Soft Focus Hydrate + Set Powder since I ended up loving it very much. It comes in six shades, I chose the shade Light and it was a perfect match for me. The Powder provides a very nice demi-matte finish that gives skin a bit of a glow. I love that it doesn’t emphasize pores, dry areas, or flakes. At the end of the day my skin looks just as matte as it did in the morning. I normally don’t review most powders since I find most of them to be okay, but not quite as impressive as I’ve found both the Hourglass and Jouer Powders. My video review can be seen here- c
