I have this powder in the shade Popeline Rose. I must have had an out of body experience when I spent over $80 AUD on it. It does not perform as a setting powder. in fact, Givenchy recommends you use this as a contour palette. It has barely any pigment to it. I have to give it one thing – it doesn’t make me look worse. If this were a drugstore powder I would just cop it but I am super annoyed at what a waste of money this was. I wouldn’t repurchase.

I picked this up at Sephora when I returned a very popular, unfortunately very cool shade-ful matte pallete that showed up like chalk on my warm skin. My goal was to get a new eye contouring set to augment my Clinique Teddy Bear pallette, which I love but am temporarily blah about. Every other option was either sold out, also cool toned or part of a set with a slew of colors I’d never touch in a giant package. I saw the colors in Toffee Taffeta, 86, swatched them hurriedly and made my way home only to discover this is a translucent finishing powder, NOT a pigment packed eye shadow, blush or bronzer. I don’t recall even looking at the Givenchy or seeing any YT videos featuring them so color me surprised to have accidentally stumbled on something which gives me the effect everyone (except me) claims the Ambient Powders provide.
I use this a couple ways:
1. I use my finger and apply the lightest quadrant to my brow bone
2. The salmon-y tone is perfect for my under eye
3. On a no makeup day I finger smear the darkest in my crease
4. Using a stippling brush I tap a swirl of this over Pore Territory – nose, forehead, cheek.
The shades aren’t super visible but the amount that shows up of them is just enough to add a lil somethin’ somethin’ – a subtle blurring that’s not as pasty and flat on me as IT Cosmetics’ Bye Bye Pores.
I felt like returning this because it’s fragranced but will just use it occasionally instead. I’ve done a couple patch tests and hope it doesn’t cause me trouble down the line. The selection of shades is spot on, blended or individually.

I love this as a bronzer for my pale, pale skin (I’m lighter than Nicole Kidman)….I always come back to it when I realize that whatever bronzer I’m trying out is making me look orange. It is subtle and classy and totally gorgeous. I buy Beige Mouselline, Number 84, which is darker than my skin, of course. It is very natural looking a and with a pop of blush on my cheeks it is the perfect look. It is obscenely expensive, but you only live once 🙂

i love the package so much , but the truth is i feel like i wear nothing on my face when i use this . i take a lot alot and it seems better , God! so expensive for the package and Givenchy name ! I don’t buy it again but i will buy the Prisme Libre Loose Powder .

i think i was too impressed by the packaging and the fact that it can hold a application brush in a sleek compact. great look but the powder did nothing. no coverage, does not brighten, does not highlight, abit too dry for me, and it oxidises abit. i don’t think i fit the colour recommended to me which is peach as it was too similar to my skin tone and after oxidisation, it just made me looked utterly tired. after hearing comments from others that i look very tired, i have decided to ditch it and just use it under my cheekbones.

When I bought this product I thought I could make some experimentation. So I bought Amber Organza, which is a shade darker than my skin color, and this are the results I got. For light skin complexions this is an amazing bronzer, mixing all the 4 shades together you get a lovely and subtle bronzing look, the lighter shade can be used as a highlighter, and the darker can be used for contouring. It’s not a blush on purpose, but it can be used as one with one fabulous advantage it’s matte and helps to set foundation. If you are light skin as me, amber organza is an amazing product and the only one you’ll need after foundation, for an everyday chic look. It’s fun and convenient, I love it!

This is my favorite powder, and I use it both alone or over my foundation. It basically creates a soft-focus effect, so the skin looks softer, smoother, and brightened, with absolutely no powder visible on the face. Other powders tend to make the face look flat and too matte, but this powder has the right balance of matte-ifying and radiance (I know it sounds odd, but it does both.) I am NW20 in MAC, and I use this in #83 Peach Plumetis. The packaging is fabulous, and the little brush is fine for on-the-go. Givenchy powders are so underrated. Seeing this compact in my purse makes me really happy.

I also got it in the colour 83 Peach Plumetis. I like the packaging, but I have not quite try the brush that comes with it yet.
This pressed powder worked even better than I expected. My face is quite oily, but then this one is actually mattifing without being drying. I would describe the finish as truly natural. It’s not very glowy nor matte.
I am a NC 20/25. And this colour is quite perfect for me.

For reference, I have this four color compact in #83 in Peach Plumetis. It comes in a magnetic cap and slide compact case, and contains a brush applicator (although the brush is a bit of a nuisance and ineffective. The ingredients list looks pretty standard-beware if you are allergic to either talc or di-cones. The brush applicator is located in the lower part-a sort of slide-out drawer. It’s actually a fairly standard-sized product, since I’d heard complaints that some of Givenchy’s compacts can be painfully and pathetically small. This one is both easy to hold, and rarely gets lost in the bottom of any drawer, box or bag. For me, it’s a cute bit of eye candy, and I do appreciate the sleek Givenchy look of this compact. Not a jewel in the way that EL compacts are. On to the contents-four color-co-ordinated squares of soft pressed powder, intended to blend well together, or individually. Starting at the top left hand corner, there’s a delicate soft pink, and right next to that, a light bronze. The two directly under that are a soft ivory, and a medium peach. All have a light, iridescent shimmer to them. I’ve never noticed any sparkle showing up on me, so I think the glitter is simply for show. Fragrance-the same as other Givenchy powders and foundations. Not too bothersome. My only misgiving is with the brush applicator, which while soft and non-shedding, is an odd shape, and picks up very little product. I’ll need to buy myself a good brush to get the full benefits from this powder, I think. Still, in all, a lovely product, which I adore wearing for it’s own sake, on the days when my skin is clear and behaving. Most likely intended as a light finishing powder, rather than a traditional pressed powder, per se. Thankfully, the bronze and the apricot/peach tones aren’t too orange or dark on my PPP skin.
