There are reviews separately on MUA for the translucent and green version of this powder, but not the banana (yellow). I purchased and reviewed the translucent of this and didn’t like it, as it was super white for being translucent. I decided to give the banana version a go, and I’m glad I did. If you have golden, yellow undertones, this is great for your skin tone. This is powdery, and if you apply too much, it can look cakey (like any powder can). I prefer pressed powders, as loose powders are just a pain and messy for me. I like to have something I can toss in my purse if I need to and can use/apply anywhere.
The banana version of this powder is great and I’m much happier with it as an all over setting powder compared to the translucent shade. Again, it can get powdery, but a spritz of setting spray takes care of it right away. This doesn’t control oil for me, but it sets my foundation nicely. The reason I’m happy to have this is because if you are yellow/golden undertoned – this powder is your friend. It isn’t a super bright fake yellow, but more of a neutral dimmed down yellow. Most translucent powders make me too white and because I have such a yellow undertone and also melasma, anything that renders my skin too pale, turns my melasma into an ashy, weird mask. Other regular powders tend to lean more peachy nude, and again, if you have a really strong yellow undertone, peachy nude powders make my skin too unnatural and pink (my neck is straight up light yellow sometimes) and peachy pink powders can make my face look like it’s been sunburned. If you are looking for a golden powder to help set your makeup and you have strong yellow/golden undertones – this works well. It also has decent ingredients (no palmitates, or mineral oil, but does have talc).
